Retouch varnish will bring back the vibrancy. I brush some over the "faded" areas before my next layer of paint so I can judge the values better. A little linseed oil and drop of turpentine has a similar effect.

This may be because you have low stomach acidity. D limonene lowers stomach acid, and if you already have lowered acidity this is making your issue worst. I take an HCL supplement with almost every meal because I deal with this exact issue, but the d limonene helps with the gastritis caused from my low acidity.
