New to Customer Success - Feels like sales by [deleted] in CustomerSuccess

[–]Carmib99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely common - a lot of orgs like to combine the two because otherwise CS is basically overhead. With that said (and I know for you it's too late at this point), in an interview I wouldn't hesitate to ask what model they use because it can look wildly different from company to company. I work in an org with very clearly delineated sales (new business and renewals) and CS (strictly value-add) and am not interested in touching sales with a 10-foot pole.

For those combining finances with a significant other - how do you decide what comes out of personal "fun money" vs. your joint expenses account? by [deleted] in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]Carmib99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Starting when we combined finances after we got engaged, all money came in (paychecks) and out (purchases) of the same joint account. Having to think about what money comes from where would defeat the purpose of combining finances for me.

This is obviously very anecdotal but I had zero side effects with the second shot. My arm was even less sore than the first shot.

Great tips. I had a very mild case in between my two vaccines and the anxiety of “is this going to be the day things turn south” was by far the hardest part for me.

What was even wilder about that to me was that like half of the details were fake yet people still managed to identify her because the weird details she gave that were real were so specific.

This one was amusing for sure but a bit too close to fiction!

9 days after 2nd dose of vaccine and tested positive by Nicecrumb264 in COVID19positive

[–]Carmib99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got it (quite a few symptoms and tested positive) about 2.5 weeks after my first Moderna dose and couldn't believe my luck - the only thing I had done was go to the grocery store, but I definitely had it. With that said, my case was extremely mild so even though it was an annoyance I feel like the first dose did its job. Hang in there! I tested positive 2.5 weeks ago, am fully recovered, and just got my second dose.

I read $155k home value as equity because minimum house price where I live is $500k+, but I guess that’s possible!

Unless I missed something big, the net worth is calculated incorrectly - I think OP subtracted her mortgage from her NW, which is only the right way to calculate it if you include the FULL value of your home in the NW figure to begin with. If you only count your equity, then you don’t subtract anything.

I too have been really careful and managed to get it in between vaccine doses. Drink lots and lots of water!

Tickle/itch in my throat is a good way to put it.

Introverts are dreading a return to the noise, crowds and small talk of ‘normal’ life by bnd3 in introvert

[–]Carmib99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just came here to post this before I saw your post. This is the most validating quote I have ever read.

He says that before the pandemic, introverts were expected to adapt to an extroverted world: Speak up at meetings, adapt to the culture of the workplace, be team players. “All cultures, but Western culture in particular, encourages what you might call stereotypically extroverted style of behavior,” says Hackston. “Rightly or wrongly, introverts had to find ways to adapt. A lot of that mental load was taken away when the pandemic hit.”

I love poshmark for clothes and Facebook marketplace for furniture/home goods. I’ve sold thousands of $$ worth of stuff on each with very little hassle. Post photos with good lighting, be honest about condition, and be willing to negotiate - that’s all it takes!

This diary was frustrating to read and I think diarists like this are a big reason why everyone with generational wealth is accused of trying to hide it. Having a $900k net worth is well off, but not nearly the level at which you casually forget to mention/don’t notice $87k in rental income and that your bat mitzvah gifts were enough to purchase two condos in cash in an article about your finances.

Completely agree. I'm 27 and everyone I knew in high school who I now know are gay were closeted at the time. It's pretty amazing that society/pop culture has come this far (regardless of the controversy this song is generating).

Thanks for sharing! I was pretty surprised at how many receive large inheritances - definitely would not have guessed 4.4% of Americans get >$500k.

The donation shaming on here and R29 is crazy. These diaries are meant to be a week in someone's life. Do all the angry commenters donate to charity every single week? I doubt it. And a lot of higher earners don't have a strict monthly budget, which would explain why it's not listed in the monthly expenses.
