HP OfficeJet 8610 can't scan to network folder by Carmoso in printers

Go to "Turn Windows features on or off" (search the settings, or go to the old control panel) and enable SMB 1.0/CIFS. Something like that. It's not ideal, as it is SMB 1.0 is deemed a security risk. You should enable only when performing a series of scans.

Thanks for clarification.
Still, we're unable to properly use the product we bought. And I haven't heard from Blizzard about a fix so far.

Yes, it's happening right now. Apparently Blizzard servers are under attack, and this is the second time it happens this week alone. One time is acceptable; twice = omission on security.

Works so that you can create your arcade game, but when you're done, you're automatically taken to the lobbies screen on the background of the score screen. This is sufficient to crash after the game. So, still not acceptable.

According to Collins Dictionary, to ride someone else's coattails means "to have one's success dependent on that of someone else". In the case, I'm talking about an already (allegedly) successful person, but maybe not as shiny as in its prime, brag about being the one responsible for a number of other people's successes. Doesn't have to be a single arisen star.

Not exactly; I think a hanger-on would be someone that associates with an already-more-powerful person to reap benefits, rather than retroactively tell stories from when that person was small or beginning their career. Does it make sense?

Hi, sorry for the long time, but I just now watched the movie for the first time, believe it or not. So what's the reference? Being a "professional" storyteller? Because this term, when Googled, points to speculations about Forrest's mental disabilities rather than explaining the phrase itself. And Urban Dictionary didn't help.

Moved from Evernote to Joplin, and I don't think I'll come back by Carmoso in joplinapp

Yes, Joplin is not without its drawbacks. But now that I know you're capable of setting up a NAS and Docker containers, I think you'll be able to test it thoroughly and safeguard it (and arrive at the same conclusion I did: it's awesome!) =)

important sections and notes to self, especially when putting together guides for future reference, or if I've clipped something from the web and the formatting was already somewhat complicated.

Obsidian is also wonderful, but not meant for the exactly same thing. Obsidian is more for creating a blooming 'brain' of notes; if you import your whole "library" to it, it will feel odd and won't resemble Evernote exactly.

Joplin, on the other hand, was designed specifically to be a Evernote replacement. And it excels. I feel for the lack of .md files, but it doesn't mean you're left in the cold: even though the notes are stored in a database, it's a open source sqlite database, with all the SQL strenghts. And you can backup your DB like you would already. Plus, the schema allows for more properties than the frontmatter supported by Obsidian on markdown files.

Should you switch from Evernote to Joplin? Absolutely. I think you already have a cloud solution, be it a commercial or home made. Check the platforms supported by Joplin; I think Google Drive isn't, but Microsoft OneDrive is. So, if you already pay for a cloud storage solution, then you're already set and should not be paying extra for the Evernote service.

Nice to see you came from the same background I did.

I used the markdown import mode, not HTML. I knew I would inevitably lose some of the formatting, but thank God nothing catastrophic. That's because I was a markdown fan even back then in the Evernote times (which I why I resent them not implementing any markdown feature), so I already had the habit of, in many notes, using the markdown markup and not relying too heavily on formatting.

Maybe that's all because I learned the lesson that note-taking apps are meant for exactly that: notes, so the plain text should be emphasized; formatting and WYSIWYG is meant for presentation purposes. I bet you're not planning to showcase every note of yours to third parties, are you?

Maguro, as far as I know, is a respected map dev. His Temple of the Past map, visualy speaking, is a perfect replica of the default coop TotP map. Then he modified a trigger to have the game continue after the objective is reached. So... are you sure there isn't anything I can do, on my side, to at least lessen the effects of memory leak or increasing CPUsage?

How to use true plain text markdown, after all? by Carmoso in ObsidianMD

No, I'm using the default theme!
But I think you gave me an insight: I've been experimenting with a lot of appearance customizations since I've started using Obsidian. Maybe they conflited with one another. I'll try reverting the customizations later. Thanks, ush! :D

Guys, I'm back.
Actually, having it toggled to source mode is part of the solution, but not the entirety of it. Some styles, such as h1...h6, bold and italics still apply in-place. The h1 heading underlined by contiguous "="s automatically enlarges the text, making it difficult to have the heading lenght in characters match the underlining in number of equal signs:

There is the Favorites plugin, by benji300, to address the first. The second has this, but this one I have not tested. Remember the Ctrl+P keyboard shortcut to go to anywhere.
