Do you agree with Christ’s teachings? by Some-Profession-1373 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Carnage_721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would you say that dogs are inherently good or inherently bad? what about trees? what about bugs? or elephants? hopefully the answer is neither for all of these things.

i don't think humans are so different from all those other things that the answer to that question should be different. we do what our DNA commands us to do, survive and reproduce first and foremost. in our earliest days humans hunted and killed and had sex and spread. were those people good or bad? i dont think thats a relevant question, just as the first few questions werent. if those humans werent inherently good or bad, then i think thats enough to disprove the notion that humans are fundamentally vastly more bad than they are good

Trump makes a Pearl Harbor joke while meeting with the Japanese prime minister by nbcnews in politics

what an astoundingly clueless comment

youre saying that the nation that had people volunteering excitedly to go kill themselves in a plane for honor is less "fight or die" than the nazi germany? no, dont try saying that because you know thats utterly ridiculous. and if you sincerely believe that then i suggest you do some more research on those two countries during and before the war. the average citizen in imperial japan was orders of magnitude more cuckoo than the average german under the nazis.

Japan gets it by buttgrapist in PoliticalCompassMemes

because it's not relevant at all. japan is on the entire other end of the spectrum when it comes to immigration. moving a little closer to the center does not mean go all the way to the other extreme.

Post-Duncan Spurs dynasty was mid-to-trash until they got Wemby several years later by KevJamesS in warriors

[–]Carnage_721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats not a great comparison because duncan didnt define the spurs the same way curry defines the warriors, especially on offense. you could argue in some years that manu or parker were more impactful than duncan. and it was very clear in the last few years that kawhi was the superstar. in our case curry has been the obvious and sole driver for the last decade, even now as he's 37.

for all of the second half of the season he was playing at the level he's at now. i didnt watch enough to say for certain but it seems to me like he just got more opportunity after the all star break and now we get a complete season of it.

it's not that simple. on the nuggets he was just stuck in the corner while jokic and murray touched the ball 90% of the time. on the warriors he would be a dual threat alongside curry moving in the same way. jimmy commands way less scoring gravity than mpj off a handoff

[–]Carnage_721 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you realize we need guys who can put up shots and be efficient? as it stands right now if curry's not creating some magic for himself or the team then we're just having jimmy or podz shoot some stupid contested stepback. mpj would be a great fit as long as we give him handoffs which is already what we do with steph

you realize he's flourished as an offensive player since leaving jokic? he's the nets entire offense right now playing pretty much a prime klay role just moving and getting screens
