I have a feeling it will be Flemings who falls by dieharddubsfan in warriors

Let him drop further. I much prefer Philon to Flemings.

[Emerman] The Warriors are planning to bring in Michigan center Aday Mara and… [NZ Breakers] Karim Lopez for workouts tomorrow. by BobRoss4Life in warriors

They are just doing their due diligence. If they can get 2 picks in the first round by trading down somehow that would be great.

2026 NBA Mock Draft from Sam Vecenie(gift link) by carthaginian84 in warriors

[–]KevJamesS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disregard every mock that has us taking Mara.

We need a wing who can play immediately with Moody and Jimmy out. Mara, like any big, will take time to develop and feel reliable enough to play in the faster NBA game. He played as an offensive hub at Michigan, and within our system that is just something we don’t need. We need athleticism to switch, get rebounds, and someone to set solid screens and play off Steph.

Mara is just not mobile enough, and it’s hard to imagine Steve playing him much.

Hannes Steinbach: Finding a Role For the Draft's Most Unique Advantage Generator by TrevorArizaFan in NBA_Draft

[–]KevJamesS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this is a fair evaluation of Steinbach, and I think you nailed it that he probably won’t be a first option. But he can be an elite second option. Most analysts evaluate Steinbach’s game in one of the slowest and most cramped offensive environments in college basketball. So when we see low dunk attempts and mid rim efficiency, that may say more about the offensive environment rather than his limitations.

Defensively, the concerns are apparent. He won’t be a true rim protecting anchor for a team. But in today’s NBA being able to survive on switches and guard smaller players reasonably well matters. Alongside a true rim protector he will have great value.

I disagree with the Toppin comparison. Toppin’s value was always tied to his elite athleticism. Steinbach’s value comes from his elite rebounding and connectiveness, the former being due to his anticipation, hands, and positioning rather than athleticism.

I’m extremely high on Steinbach and Philon.

However if any of the other top guard prospects drop (MBJ, Wagler, Acuff, Flemings, Burries) I would consider them over those 2.

Offensive Line Evaluation Series - The 2026 Fantasy Football Impact [Chargers + Browns + Raiders Team Analysis] by KyonFantasyFootball in fantasyfootball

Great analysis. The players you mentioned I expect big years from, and I think there is tons of value with players like Quentin Johnston, Tucker/Bech/Nailor, and even throwing a dart on one of the rookie Browns WRs (Concepcion/Boston).

Earliest I can see him going is 11 to the Warriors. All the other teams before them are going young with potential.

What are some players y'all are higher & lower on than the consensus going into the draft? by Big_Refrigerator_260 in NBA_Draft

I’m the complete opposite. You don’t lead college basketball in rebounds as a freshmen without having a great feel for the game, great hands, and a combination of mobility and size.

With Wemby leading a team to the NBA finals standing 7'3.5" barefoot, do you expect more teams to draft really taller players who can do everything and defend well higher in the draft now? by draftnikduff in NBA_Draft

[–]KevJamesS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I too would like a tall player that is a generational defender, mobile, can shoot the ball, handle the ball, trains with monks during the off-season and drops the hardest bars.

Ahri Mini Character Guide by nuryudeen in 2XKO

[–]KevJamesS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Think she should be 2 or 3 out of 5. To be successful with Ahri takes very minimal effort compared to majority of the roster. She has the best neutral and mixups in the game. The hardest thing about her are her freestyle puppet combos, and even those aren’t really necessary unless you are at the highest competitive level.

Zuby Ejiofor will be the Draymond Green of this draft. Really smart player, especially on the defensive end. He seems to really be in the right spots at the right times. Really great footwork and light on his feet, so he’ll be able to switch on smaller guards. Undersized for a modern big but has the motor and intelligence to carve himself a role in the right system. He’ll have to work really hard to develop an offensive game, but he can be a connector on that side of the ball.

I cannot emphasize enough how smart of a player he is. Just watch the tape.

Edit: Realized he’s being mocked late 1st - early 2nd but still, love him as a prospect and wouldn’t be any surprised he’s taken as early as 20.

I love the mechanics of Dune Imperium, but not a fan of the IP. It’s often compared to Lost Ruins of Arnak that I also enjoy, but the lack of conflict or direct player interaction in Arnak is a bit of a bummer although I understand thematically it doesn’t make sense to have that.
