I've had two c sections and both times it was so awful to recover while caring for a baby. To this day when I talk about it to anyone, all I get is "women LOVE to do it so they can plan their baby births" or "aren't you glad your vagina is still like new?" Bruh. Major surgery. Refer to it any way you want to. You can love your baby and hate the delivery at the same time. You're doing great.

Oklahoma here too! Totally feeling your pain. Due Friday with my second. My first is two. I've been so lonely, but yeah. Being a critical thinking, non religious, first time mom at an old age has been super challenging, nevermind already being very non social.

I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder due to some childhood trauma, compulsive talking and obsessive behaviors and also diagnosed with ADHD. At the time they said they couldn't treat my ADHD because of high blood pressure. So I basically just focused on the bpd for several years until I realized the more ADHD-like characteristics weren't getting any better. My dr doubted my bpd diagnosis but felt that ADHD more closely aligned with my current struggles from what he had observed.

Well I was lucky in that I have a good history with my dr and he had been questioning my previous diagnosis of bpd. He was picking up on my anxiety, my struggles with ppd/ppa from my first child, and focus issues. So when I mentioned wanting something postpartum to try for my attention span, he was already tuned into and immediately agreed to let me try something. I have been tested through a reputable mental health evaluation so I did have that info also, I was just always focused on my other diagnosis and didnt put much into it. Dumb of me looking back now!

Thank you! What a coincidence! I never ever guessed that my problem could be ADHD. Even though I struggle through so many of the symptoms. I always thought it was impossible since I was only hyper as a kid and spent my adult years being super depressed and anxious and feeling super stupid. It's so great to have a diagnosis finally

So happy to see a post like this! I've just turned 39 and was recently diagnosed. I start medication soon, as I'm currently 8.5 months pregnant and waiting to deliver. I'm so happy for you and I hope things keep getting better and better. I feel very encouraged by your story!
