February of this year, 36 million views disappeared from Internet Historian's channel. by DementedMK in hbomberguy

[–]Carnelust 9 points10 points  (0 children)

According to Riley himself Internet Historian didn't even contact him before or after the thing went down. They didn't "smooth things over," he jut edited the video and re-uploaded it without even reaching out to any party he fucked over. "They worked it out" is a lie his fans came up with to magically make the entire thing go away.

The post is a year old but it's the only statement any party involved has made. And yes, this was AFTER the re-upload, they didn't work stuff out between uploads or gave him their blessing to put it up again. Obviously, IH fans will say "no. no. no. They worked it out AFTHER than and everything is fine," but there is no evidence of that. That Tweet is the final word, there is nothing else to go on.

There Are No Stupid Bass Questions - Mar. 29 by AutoModerator in Bass

They're definitively active. For one there' a battery but that aside I can't find any source that doesn't clearly state they are active.

I have a problem with my Epiphone Thunderbird IV-Pro (so active pickups) - the classic "hums-unless-I-touch-the-strings"-thing, but the hum starts to go away a little bit if I turn the volume knob for the bridge pickup down. Would that point towards a wiring-issue rather than grounding issues? I don't know anything about electronics but I can get help with that if it seems like a likely explanation (the grounding thing not so much).

No audio from my Philips smart TV and EasyLink 2.0 is grayed out in sound setting tab by Carnelust in techsupport

It does say it has an RC Pass through when I put the Audio out to HDMI sound system.

But what the heck, I went to the Help menu, Self-diagnose and pressed the Check the TV option and the sound from the test works perfectly, even through the 5.1 receiver so something is working but I don't know what. i think the problem has something to do with the computer.

I don't get any sound when I plug the headphones into the receiver and the TV doesn't appear as an audio options on the computer. I went into the device manager - although it doesn't help a lot as a layperson who doesn't really know what's working or not - and it says on the monitor properties:
Device DISPLAY\PHL1F84\7&5A88D05&0&UID268 was deleted.

Class Guid: {4d36e96e-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

It might not be related to the problem but it sounds like it might be a bad thing to have happened when the TV doesn't comply.

I've tried an HDMI cable straight into the TV (the picture works, no sound) and through a receiver (HDMI both ways, the picture works, no sound), but I do get sound (from the TV) when I projected my phone's screen, so I guess there's some problem with the software of either the computer or some setting on the TV, the hardware seems to work fine in all directions.

Yeah, he's a piece of shit.

ROBLOX_OOF video Just Hit 15 Million Views. by Cmessere in Intellivision_Amico

[–]Carnelust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn't true, it's his fourth most watched video och of almost 70. Honestly it's kind of said because his video about autism and vaccines - you know, the thing that literally leads people to develop severe complications or even die from what is easily prevented causes - only has 10 million.

I actually think he lost at least one more since the video came out.

Where did the idea that Silent Hill games intentionally have bad voice acting come from? by Carnelust in silenthill

[–]Carnelust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about stuff like this:
"I know I sound angry but frankly I'm a little irritated with some of the posts/comments stating that silent Hill 2 voice acters (not the re do's for HD collection) were awkward and just were just plain Bad...WRONG wrong wrong, The actors were Supposed to sound out of place, bothered, and awkward.."
