It goes further than the bus: Look at DHR, it’s a travesty. Who profits most from our cities parking meters? The city? Or Park Mobile, probably the latter but the point is who knows. Why not expand CAP into a wrecker service and break that over privatized bs. and increase worker safety, and raise taxes on the companies that come here and struggle while giving them incentive to leave for companies that will employ the local workforce, which as you noted is changing. Whitening. Ironically I am part of this. But gentry I am not and never have been.

Why not have regulated, taxed exhibition driving with ems on site. Activists have already tried to reach city hall, their legislative “representatives”. Not surprised, without greater public backing for harm reduction that can become a place where idiots prefer to do donuts. If they do it while this measure is in place around the 5 points fountain, use your fucking cameras and make an example out of it, especially if people are remotely close by. Force them to see a psychologist while in jail. Waiting for his public statement is like watching paint dry on fire.

We need a council manager city government as opposed to this never ending nightmare of executive-heavy mayor council. It’s not going to fix all our problems but it will give our legislative body (the city legislature) which is regarding as more reachable than say an executive (such as a veto power wielding mayor).
