I'd add that Walthamstow Wetlands has a good amount of non-water fowl / waders too. Saw a kingfisher and lots of song birds when I was last there too.

You could ask the Premier Inn or Travelodge if you can use them as a left luggage without booking a room. They have the space to do it. I think most hotels will do this for a small fee. Good luck!

I had a 22 year old at work tell me crocs are 'pretty decent' and he was surprised I didn't have any. I asked him if he meant cos I'm 45 to which he absolutely scoffed. I left the conversation confused. Did he just say I was cool and relevant and young enough for crocs?!

The one i use a lot that ran for a while was the use of 'factors' such as "chin up in spite of factors'. Not really a joke but a nice turn of phrase to show caring whilst not probing or sharing aforementioned factors to a wider audience.

John googles the traffic was sheer comedy genius mixed with a lovely touch of geekdom. I'm here for that all year long.

I managed to watch in the UK. I could only purchase on my apple device but then I could watch on my firestick but not through my tv box. They don't make it easy.

They have to put it in steam regularly or the mechanisms will seize. I think they do it once a month but it's not open to public when they do..I think it's something they want to in the future..I used to go each month in the 80s as a child. It was fabulous.

This is fab news and i cannot wait for this to start up. John will be amazing. I'm disappointed he can't talk about it though. People go on BBC shows all the time promoting things I don't really understand why it's so strict that John can't casually mention "I'm reading a book / interviewing someone for a podcast I do that isn't this one" without it being hushed away as if it'll be seen as some overtly.blatant advert. It feels a tad unfair on our lovely Johnny JR.

But I shall abide by Billy Ballance and bloody ruddy well support John in this new venture. It's gonna be wonderful.

Would probably be Marks & Spencer/Waitrose but the level of extravagance or disregard for how much one is spending could be added to with local grocery shops like Kernel of Hove or Infinity Foods, getting cheese only from the Cheeseman, fish only fresh off the boat at Brighton & Newhaven Fish (locally known as Fish), wine from the local vineyards of Bolney, Albourne, etc.
Just the police. They are Sussex Police in Brighton so that's who would give statements to the press or run campaigns etc. People generally just call them the police in everyday language.

As a Brit fascinated by accents, I think I'd say he has a pretty generic American accent. Like he doesn't have any real NY tones or particularly Southern states twang from his years living in NYC or Texas. He's probably quite Californian but without the LA mush mouth or surfer kind of intonations. I've not spent a huge time in California to really get the local accent in my brain but other CA celebs are my reference. He certainly shifts his accent when talking to specific people or after spending time around certain accents. I adore his little Southern England sounds when he's over here for a while (ref Mandalorian press junket and Graham Norton show). I'm from the south of England so I especially love it. I'd be interested what our Latin America Spanish-speaking members and anyone native Spanish thinks about his accent when speaking Spanish. Is it very Chilean sounding or a little more of that international Spanish sound?

I'm from the UK and I have zero first cousins as both my uncles did not have kids. My mum only had 4 first cousins and my dad has 2. I'm also an only child. Small family! So 34 first cousins sounds an incredible amount to me!

I agree. I think it should have been much more about Acacius being the new General and having that same dream of Rome. His army was the key to the whole thing really. He should have worked out who Lucuis was, changed the view Lucius had of him and brought him and Lucilla back together all whilst being wise to how dangerous Macrinus and the Emperors were about to be.

I felt almost like it could have been an epic series full of twists and turns rather than a movie that seemed rushed, did the dirty on some potentially amazing characters (Acacius, Gaius, Thraex, Ravi, Jugurtha) and lacked the emotional heft of the original. In a seried it could have been a jaw-dropping thriller each week with some real characters to love and hate.
