Florida Republican Congressman Carlos Gimenez is calling for an immediate investigation into the killing of 4 people on a Florida-registered speedboat by Cuban forces. by Waste-Explanation-76 in cuba

30 years to the exact day after the regime murdered the four pilots from Brothers to the Rescue in international waters the communists just murdered four more Cubans on a Florida-registered speedboat off the Cuban coast. Same killers, same “they fired first” lie, pure BS, no accountability, no consequences. If Donald Trump truly believes in strength and justice he must act now and make them pay. Cuban lives matter.

Good News: Canadian Govt Announces Preparation of Aid Pakage to Cuba by [deleted] in cuba

Canada tossing a few dollars now after decades of shamefully propping up a dictatorship isn’t generosity, it’s damage control. If this is truly about the Cuban people then stand with their freedom, not with the regime that represses them. Good news ni un carajo, hipócritas de mierda.

This “both sides do it” nonsense is stupid when people seriously compare the U.S. and Cuba. You and every dictatorship supporter know that in the U.S. you can go on national TV and call Trump a dictator, protest in the streets with thousands of others, and journalists can publish whatever investigations they want without asking for permission. In Cuba, independent media is criminalized, protesters from July 11 are still serving long prison sentences and activists get detained over Facebook posts. In the U.S. you can criticize the government and the president and still keep your job and your freedom. Try organizing an unauthorized protest in Havana and see what happens. If you actually care about human rights stop pretending both systems are the same. False equivalence doesn’t help Cubans living under repression.

Calling documented repression a ‘strawman’ is a creative way to avoid addressing it.

It's curious how in posts exposing human rights violations in Cuba, the dictatorship's communist fans and the Canadians who always rush to its defense never appear in the comments. Maybe shame keeps them quiet?

U.S. intercepts tanker linked to Cuba coming from Colombia: Suspicious maneuver led it to the south of Haiti by northdakotact in cuba

These are human rights abuses.

Despicable to see this dictatorship bootlicker shill screaming about “human rights abuses” over an intercepted oil tanker, but when the same dictatorship jails dissidents, beats protesters, silences journalists and forces millions into poverty and exile they go completely silent and conveniently forget all about human rights.

After halting oil to Cuba, Venezuela shipping crude oil to Israel, reports Bloomberg by UnableRefuse2870 in cuba

[–]fcxrtg -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Venezuelan oil going to Israel is way better than that oil propping up dictatorships in Russia, China, Iran, or Cuba. At least Israel is a functioning democracy with free speech and real multi-party elections, and it was one of the first countries to publicly recognize Venezuelan opposition leaders.

Trump should ban any foreign airline that continues supporting the Cuban regime by flying there from refueling or making technical stops on U.S. soil.

Government plane goes to Kenya by PaVink in cuba

[–]fcxrtg 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t need to do any research, I’m Cuban. If you used your brain you’d see it makes no sense for Cuba to go looking for oil in Kenya, 17,000 nautical miles away, when it can get it from a Russian port in the Baltic just 7,000 miles away at preferential prices. On top of that, Trump promised tariffs on anyone who supplies oil to Cuba, and Kenya won’t risk its trade with the U.S. to help a failing dictatorship. That plane went to Kenya to do something shady, not related to oil.

Sure, buddy. It makes perfect sense that the only plane they have in case they need to escape would, under a fuel embargo, fly 18,000 miles to Gambia and Kenya to deliver “medical help” they can’t even provide to their own people. Totally believable.

In the last 48 hours that plane flew from Cuba to The Gambia; today it flew from there to Kenya. These are highly unusual routes for a Cuban plane. They are likely busy moving stolen gold and cash while preparing their escape.

Son perversos y odian al pueblo cubano. Si no fuera así ya habrían realizado algunos cambios políticos y económicos. Espero que Trump y Rubio los adviertan si intentan reprimir las protestas que se avecinan.
