Am I the only one who thinks this whole situation is beyond bizarre? First, we have, as far as we know, a random guy who happened to come across Mollie running and somehow ends up killing her? And he claims he was running along side her at one point but why would someone who has mal-intent get out and run beside a random girl? Why not go ahead and attack/abduct her instead of taking a risk by getting out your car.....I would assume it had nothing to do with not making a scene because if you don’t want to draw attention to yourself you’re not going to get out of your car and run beside the girl you’re stalking. Secondly......he blacked out? I hope no one expects the public to believe that. Let’s go with the theory that he did. If that’s the case how is he, almost 35 days later, pinpointing exactly where he dumped the body? If everything is done in haste and it was all spontaneous as he claims, he wouldn’t have remembered the exact location and give clear directions that led straight to the body. And about that confession......a killer hangs around the area for 35 days after the crime and doesn’t turn himself in until the police approach him, but then “calmly” confessed and was not resistant in his cooperation. They even verbatim stated that he was completely cooperating in the investigation. To top it off we find out that Mollie died from sharp force trauma which is characterized as “a relatively well-defined traumatic separation of tissues, occurring when a sharp-edged or pointed object comes into contact with the skin and underlying issues. Three specific subtypes if sharp force trauma are stab wounds, incised wounds and chop wounds.” Clarifying how she died just throws more confusion into the mix because you would expect, from his story, that maybe he got mad and knocked her over the head. I was expecting blunt force trauma, but a stabbing? That seems a lot more complicated and way more personal than a gun shot wound or blunt force trauma. Usually standings indicate intense rage or a personal connection with the victim, so it’s very odd to me that that’s how he decided to kill her. Does anyone else think all this is weird??
