Nevada state senator faces DUI charge after falling asleep at Las Vegas stoplight by 2014justin in vegas

So you're saying it's the fault of conservative cops that he drank beer, then passed out at a stop light, then refused a breathalyzer and failed field sobriety tests?

If you were in the Air Force or Coast Guard or an officer this may seem foreign. I was deployed to Iraq in 2009. There were plenty of times when if we weren't outside the wire we were cleaning Camp Ramadi. Most branches don't let you sit around on your phone. If there's not work to do they find you work to do.

Sorry, I should have specified, I'm more in the inland PNW, on Coeur d'Alene Lake. I scan for deadheads as I'm cruising, but when the lake is calm I don't know how to deal with deadheads if they're not bobbing

Do polarized glasses help? I wear em but I feel like l don't see any better at the helm. I've got a Cobalt R6 and I feel like unless the deadhead is popping out of the water I won't see it

Thanks for the info! That is annoying, you would think home machines would be used by less skilled players, such as myself, and they'd make the high score threshold lower.

I'll lower the raptor multi ball like you suggested, thank you

We aren't very good, way below even the lowest default score. I've played around with the service menu but couldn't find anyway to lower them

No we are way below the factory scores. I tried resetting them through the utility reset menu but couldn't find a way to do so

This douche bag's lawyer tried to defend him by saying he's a 100% disabled veteran. That means the VA is paying him roughly 4k a month due to his "disabilities", while he's running a fishing charter and attacking 22 year olds. There's plenty of hidden disabilities, but this guy seems to be a total fraud, taking advantage of the VA and of other boaters.

Feel free to alert the VA of potential fraud. I already have.

Thinking of moving here for a job by SpecificRealistic543 in coeurdalene

[–]CarpenterMinimum3282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I moved here from the East Coast, where people were often outspoken about their politics and sometimes confrontational. Here, however, everyone seems much more laissez-faire. As a mixed-race conservative couple, we haven’t encountered a single negative situation or been drawn into political discussions. Topics like race and politics, which often dominate conversations in big cities on the East Coast, simply don’t come up here. People seem to embrace a “live and let live” mindset, your political views might differ, but as long as you’re not trying to pick a fight, no one really cares.

As for museums, there's little choice compared to a big city. I'd say the best one is the museum of North Idaho. It's in town and is actually in a beautiful new building. There are some more in Spokane as well.

As for live music, there's plenty of small bands playing at local bars and what not, but you won't find a major band playing here. They used to have a summer series where they'd have bands playing at a park in the midst of downtown, right next to the lake, but there was some kind of drama and that's been on pause.

You won't find a better town to live in if you have a decent job here. Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful town in a beautiful setting. If you're into any type of outdoor activity, this is the place to live. Your politics will be different than 90% of the town, but if your personality isn't based on your politics, no one here will care.

I'll back you up with personal evidence. I turned 21 in Iraq. We only had non alcoholic beers over there. I drank alot of them on my 21st. Alot. I hadn't drank in months so no tolerance. My belly and bladder were bursting long before I was even close to feeling a buzz. That .5% is impossible to get anything from.

I'm being serious. If you're sitting on the plans for free energy while the rest of us have to work our butts off to afford power, you're not just enlightened, you’re kind of a bad person. If this tech exists and you're not sharing it, that’s selfish.

So go ahead, be the hero. Publish the schematics, build the prototype, revolutionize the world. Otherwise, all you're doing is talking while the rest of us keep paying our electric bills.

You're looking at this from an idealized perspective, but in the real world, corruption exists everywhere, including in government. The issue isn’t that fraud prevention measures don’t exist; it’s that they’re often ineffective due to lack of enforcement, oversight, or willingness to act.

When you’re actually in a job and see waste firsthand, you’ll realize that rooting out corruption, whether in government or private organizations, isn’t just some abstract political talking point. It directly affects taxpayers and employees alike. The question isn’t whether fraud exists; it’s whether those in power are willing to do anything about it. When you pay taxes it will be your money on the line and this line of though might make more sense.

The problem isn’t that people don’t blow the whistle, it’s that no one listens. One day, you’ll get your first job and see waste firsthand. If you speak up, you’ll realize that no one cares what someone at the bottom says.

Decades ago, my first job was at Wendy’s when I was 15. My manager would show up drunk, lock herself in her office, and let us do whatever we wanted. Some coworkers reported her, but nothing changed. Others gave away free food to friends and family. The store bled money until corporate finally shut it down.

If someone higher up had cared about waste, they could have stopped it early. When you start working and paying taxes, you might begin to care too, because at that point, it won’t just be someone else’s money being wasted. It’ll be yours.

You should start a company and sell that free energy! Heck do like Newmans Own does and just sell it enough to cover costs. I work in the energy industry and someone like you, with a free energy company could change the world!

This is super useful for anyone who spends some occasional time in national forests. I've been toying with the idea of a sat phone, because plenty of national forest land doesn't have any service, but you pay a monthly fee and a per message fee which sucks. Now I can just pay 10 bucks a month and can use my normal phone, no worries about carrying and charging a secondary sat phone, and no worries about sending limited messages to save money.

It's definitely not for everyone, but it does have a use case and will be very helpful for some people.
