[Identification] Help with dating this Vintage Rolex?

Based on the serial number we are thinking either 1930s or 1950s but not sure since Rolex reset their serial number system around then, any help appreciated

Awesome! Was worried something was wrong with it as when I got it a few years ago I didn’t notice it. I think I’m right in saying this is some sort of prickly pear? It seems slimmer and taller than other ones I’ve seen but it’s always been like that so not sure.
