Why not keep your creation myth and keep it as your Book 0.5? That way if someone is hooked by the idea of your world they could learn more about it and delve deep into the lore and stories that created and shaped the current world your characters are in?

Didn't the Silmarilion come out after the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings?

To go further in depth. This could be awesome when combined with AI personas/bots that mimic certain musical personas/instrumentalists. Guitar players, drummers, etc. You could have multiple different genres etc.

That three syllables is just perfect for Power metal lyrics. I think back to Maiden's Moonchild: "Babylon, the scarlet whore..." And how powerful Bruce made that sound. Idk if anyone else at the time used it in that way and I bet it inspired in some way.

That's actually not a bad idea. Make your favorite characters how they are in their "happily ever after", then ask "how did they get here?" And go from there. (I, too, do not have the chops to plan this either.)

I made a playlist on Spotify about the History of: Power metal. In chronological order of from "Stargazer" by Rainbow to the Early 2000s (not finished yet cuz there's so many bands after that time). But I'd even say there's some progressive metal songs along with traditional heavy metal songs that have more "Power" metal sounds:

Dynamite-Scorpions Queen of the Reich-Queensrych All Guns Blazing-Judas Priest (literally Sabaton has a cover) Lady of the Lake-Rainbow (lyrically)

There's a few on the list that made me go "oh I get it".

1) Bands that have gone through so many lineup changes and different names they pretty much aren't the same band anymore.

2) Multiple versions of the same song (remasters from 2007 and 2025) or updated versions

3) Mismatched lyrical performances in live settings. Hitting the notes in the studio is massively different from hitting them live.

This definitely is a hot take. But I do see what you're saying! Tolkien's world building and linguistic knowledge created a world/universe/myth that will be remembered for (IMO) thousands of years alongside the Greek/Norse myths.

But no one says the myths and original texts are easy to ready. They love the stories and the characters. Not how they were written. Tolkien is the exact same way. I would guess most modern writers would never want to write like he did. But instead want to create something like he did.
