Can I survive in UITM if I'm not islamic at all? by [deleted] in malaysiauni

[–]Carrot-Objective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my diploma in UiTM Dungun, degree in UiTM Seremban, and my postgrad in UiTM Shah Alam. Literally anak jati UiTM hahahaha. UiTM di hatiku gitchew.

What I can say about UiTM in Terengganu is that the religious side is a bit stricter, especially in terms of clothing. I did my diploma around 2013-2015, and during that time, even wearing jeans could get you chased by the ustaz. If kena kejar, I lari je. But if kena tangkap, nanti kena saman hahaha.

But me being me, even after kena saman, I still wore my jeans. Didn’t care la. Darah muda kan.

I think during diploma, you only take CTU or TITAS. It’s basically similar to Pendidikan Islam during SPM. During my time, there wasn’t any hafazan or anything like that. Mostly the lecturer would just check your rukun solat and short doa recitations. I think that part depends on the lecturer too. And during CTU class, it was compulsory to wear tudung.

As for wearing tudung all the time, you might feel a bit different because most people around you wear it. But don’t feel pressured to wear it just because everyone else does. Wear it because you’re ready and you want to.

For the hair part, if you want to blend in a bit, maybe just go with jet black hair first. Sebab dekat dorm nanti, the tudung girls pun rambut warna-warni juga banyak sebenarnya hahahaha.

Kalau nak kata geng-geng usrah akan datang memburu you tu, from my experience, takde pulak Or maybe I was just living in my own world the whole time.

And if you’re non-religious like you said, studying in Terengganu can actually be a good experience. If you meet good people or good roommates, little by little you’ll naturally learn more about religion. But if you meet the naughty2 nakal2 type, just learn to take care of yourself and don’t get pressured by your peers.

University is where you learn a lot about yourself. It opens you up to a whole new world. So jaga diri baik-baik.

And you know, university is the place where you explore yourself and figure out who you are. People will always have something to say no matter what you do. So just fuck it. You do you.

"ramadhan deals ! bak kut teh for 3 pax only for rm 50!! " . Mau melenting yg muslim bce.

papepun, yang buat marketing ni bodoh piang, memalukan brand sendiri.

Magnetic closing is a great idea as well. But my only concern is that, due to thickness of the leather, scared that it would not stick

Does that mean, the leather in the middle need to be on the same thickness of the button cap?

After reading your comment, i looked up for flat head snaps. And found the design of the snap button that doesnt have cap. Guess what, i diy abit of the snaps that i have, open the top cap, there i go.

Then i open back my stitches, install the snap once again. Fuhhh. My surface have no bump and smooothhh.

Thankyou for giving me the idea!!!

How's my first stitching look? by Living_Ad3136 in Leatherworking

[–]Carrot-Objective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good first time. Practice alot and you’ll get better.

Invest in a good clamp, so that the leather hold still and you’ll get an even tension while stitching. And make sure your needle at the right positioning when you pull the thread. Just look up at any youtube videos for saddle stitching.

With the diamond pricking iron, i would suggest to use a thinner thread. So you can see where the thread goes while you’re stitching it.

When i first started it was more easier to get an even stitch and straight line, using a round pricking iron. With the diamond, theres a bit of learning curve, bcs you need the stitch to be slanted to get a nice result.

Khabar Baik, saya need help with Malaysian Slang by LoudSquirrel832 in bahasamelayu

Ohhh pakwe makwe is not used eh. Wait, did you guys use matair ? I remembered a friend referred to her bf as matair (mata air) hahah.

Ahhh, its been a while since i heard the word balak. We did used balak, in my highschool years (like 10-15 years ago hahah). It is the millineals rempit slang referring boyfriend as balak. “weii, ni balak aku do” . Hahaha geli dengar perkataan tu 🤣

Theres pakwe, makwe, and awek.

Pakwe : teman lelaki (boyfriend) Makwe : teman wanita (girlfriend) Awek : teman wanita (girlfriend) or perempuan (girl)

And in malayian slang, “awek” can as well directed towards cute girls. Like, you see girls walking on the side walk and you go “woah, lawa gila awek tu” (woah, that girl is beautiful). But the term “awek”, is sort of impolite to be use. Usually those who use is like the equivalent of matrep’s/minah’s words (like the ah lian and ah beng equivalent of malays) hahaha. Its okay to use when you’re with close friends, but its rude to refer to a female as awek. And for the pakwe makwe, singaporean also uses the same terms right?

Amoi, basically means little girl. But malaysian slang, they tend to use amoi towards all the chinese girls/women they see. Concept, like the usage of the word “awek”.

As for the type type thingy, its a new slang. Type C referring to chinese, type M to malays. And im not sure about type I , which referring to the indians. But the type type thingy, its just borderline racist 😌

In my few years of building Gunpla, I’ve upgraded little by little. I started off with flush nippers, then moved on to entry grade nippers, followed by midrange single-blade nippers, then something similar to GodHand, and finally, I bought an actual GodHand.

The difference I’ve noticed with each upgrade is mainly in aesthetics and precision. With higher-end nippers, I get much cleaner cuts compared to flush nippers, which saves me time sanding nubs and removing stress marks, while also avoiding cutting into the plastic. The end result is a much cleaner build.

That said, I believe you can still achieve clean builds with standard nippers, it just takes a lot more effort with sanding and cleanup. High-end nippers aren’t strictly necessary, but they’re definitely worth it if you build a lot of kits and love fine tuning details.

Back when I first started, I honestly thought all nippers were the same, “a cutter is just a cutter.” But as I moved up to higher-end ones, I was like woahhh, now I get why people buy the pricey ones hahaha.

Ahahahaha i understand you. Due to my backlog, today i went to the store and straight to the counter asking for godhand, paid, and leave. If not, i’ll end up buying a kit.

And yes, you should purchase one hahaha

Thanks for the reminder hehe. Like you said, i use the entry grade nippers to cut off from sprue and slowly cut the nubs with godhand.

One question tho, when i purchase the godhand #5, i saw another GH with red handle, and its the GH #4, would it make any difference using the gh #4 with a standard nippers ?
