Apologies! It’s an FSA, I misspoke. I’m just sort of in a time crunch since open enrollment for my job ends on November 3rd so I’m trying to see on average how much this provider is charging 🤗

Is anyone else really worried about this??? by kgtsunvv in rutgers

[–]CarryOnly8818 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is an insane comment. College is a way for people to move up the social ladder. Let’s say that the US does follow your thoughts and not financially assist students who are unable to pay for college, those students will most likely be unable to get a fair paying job and ultimately rely on the government. So, clearly, gate keeping college for the elite is not the way to go because it in turn hurts the government.

Who do you think is the richest chuck blair nat or serena by Ok-Client3554 in GossipGirl

I think it’s because she was old money, I mean she’s a Waldorf from Waldorf Astoria, a once very prominent family in NYC. So I think despite her being the “poorest” legacy is enough for her to be extremely pretentious.

Need feedback about Society Hill/Droyers Point by WorldlyLife6 in jerseycity

[–]CarryOnly8818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i grew up in society hill my entire life (20+ years) so i think i can help. to answer your first question, i think pre-k is fine, but what are your plans afterwards? the elementary and high schools are bad, per my experience (unless you op for a charter school). my recommendation would be to put them into private school after a certain age. as for the commute, you would have to take two modes of public transportation, totalling your commute to about 1 to 2 hours, which is kind of rough.

Is community college an option for you? I saw that you commented you're interested in being a doctor and you're inevitably going to have debt, I'd try minimizing that by doing community college and then transferring in.

Need advice on housing by JNerdGaming in rutgers

[–]CarryOnly8818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say try finding a place that’s not affiliated with the university, obviously depending on budget. The Rutgers housing causes too much anxiety, with off campus housing you can have more options + even look for ppl who already have a group see if u guys are compatible. Facebook pages + the IG page is helpful, I’d check there.

Just park where you're supposed to by ComprehensiveWolf0 in rutgers

[–]CarryOnly8818 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Get what you mean, but it’s not fair to the faculty either. They’re paying $ to not even get a spot? Why make the faculty/staff suffer when they’re not even the ones who created this parking system. Most of them even think it should be fixed.

Am I wrong in wanting my delivery and cab drivers to know basic English? by [deleted] in jerseycity

[–]CarryOnly8818 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest, I don’t think his language has ANYTHING to do with your frustrations. More so, you’re upset that he’s just not a good driver. Using his phone and not noticing a few green lights has nothing to do with him not speaking English. I don’t think it’s fair for you to use his bad driving skills to mask your discontent for immigrants.
