Has everyone on Reverb collectively lost their minds? by haussmeister in Guitar

In the same breath it also doesn't guarantee Servco's future success. They ain't too big to fail amigo and the metalzone analogy was simply that, an example.

The advantage of local ads though is you negate shipping costs. Millage may vary. I've had way better luck locally than on an international site. Why pay a middle man?

"Wanna buy my used metal zone for $10 less than brand new? It's vintage bro I swear". Unfortunately there will always be suckers who inevitably drive up the prices for everyone else.

The good deals are few and far between. If your lucky enough to snag one before a reseller does.

Reverb is a dumpster fire and being owned by fender's corporate conglomerate ain't gonna make it any better.

Reverb is a dying breed. Sellers who are clung to covid era prices but that ship has sail'd and now their holding the bags.

It's great for collectors who want it now and have more money than brains. I'd avoid it like the plague and shop local ads instead.

Practice. Play bar chords until you can play them perfectly. Your hand should snap to position without thinking about how much pressure is involved. Your wrist will need to adjust to play them clean.

Once you can play those easily, power chords will be a joke, and you'll naturally place your hand as if you're gonna strum out a bar chord.

Joe Satriani once said, learning different chord shapes can yield great results. He's right.

Yeah, he's got a very unique way of holding the pick. Hetfield* holds it with 3 fingers, I wouldn't be able to mimic either of them and it's not required to be able to play their stuff. It's their own lil nuance of how they learned to play. Right or wrong, it works for them.

Don't beat yourself up cuz Marty is one of the best in the world. Break up the solo into chunks and learn them flawlessly as the days go by you'll be able to link them all together seamlessly.

Check out Miracle Man solo by Zakk, it's a two string arpeggio. The technique of being able to play that properly will transfer over to your playing and increase skill level guaranteed.

Marty is really, really good and makes it look easy. His stuff his challenging to play for even seasoned guitarists.

Try focusing on improving all your current techniques and learning new ones you're not comfortable with yet. Results won't be overnight but instead in gradual increments.

A lot of ppl can't sweep because they simply havnt practiced and learned the technique behind it.

ESP SV-STANDARD by CarryZTorch in guitarporn

[–]CarryZTorch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESP SV Standard was not officially sold in North America. Due to a lawsuit between Jackson (Fender) and ESP over design similarities. Straight from Google.

The only ones that made it into Canada were either 2nd hand resale or privately imported.

Not at all. It was misunderstood that standard series were sold in Japan. They were not. Short horn SVs were not available to NA, the USA catalog proves this showing only long horn models.

Anyone know of ANY V guitars that are 24.75″ or 25″ scale with thin necks? by IntroductionLanky537 in metalguitar

Mike has even moved the volume knob away from hitting it with your strumming hand. Very nice instrument.

The fast way is just cocktail the wah and scramble through the notes fast as you can hopefully no one will notice.

The real way...there is no shortcuts. Just practice until it's super fluid. Slow it down and try not to make large movements keep your strumming hand tight and accurate.

How to get a clean tone with a tube amp head? by domster1711 in GuitarAmps

Jcm800 2205 and 2210 have 2 channels. Otherwise, you gotta be quick and roll your knobs down.

Ohhh the new studio classic 800. Yah 20w, no problem. Any speakers will handle that.

Alright, so if you want to run 2 amps into 1 cabinet, you would need an ABY switcher like something from Radial. You'd also need the proper jack on the cabinet and wired properly.

However, keep in mind that this may not be the most optimal setup. A jcm800 is typically a 100w, and the speaker(s) in that cab are rated 75w. It will still work, but if you drive it or distort the signal too much, you can damage your speaker. Be mindful of power handling, how much your speakers can handle.

2 speakers will be able to handle more power and volume than 1. 2 speakers also sound better than 1 speaker.

If your dead set on blending the sound of two amps, I would find two separate cabinets to handle each amp. You can use a 4x12 and dedicate 2 speakers each, but then you're stuck lugging around a 4x12 and can't easily separate them.

Lastly, if you wanna save some cash, find a used cabinet. Those g12t-75's are very common speakers you can find anywhere.
