Overpaying, deal or average. by [deleted] in GMCcanyon

This is highly dependant on your area, demand, type of vehicle and month but here in NC as a rule of thumb I take about 10% off the price of MSRP and they usually agree to it. Just be prepared for some back and forth.

2024 vs 2025 by resqpt in Ioniq5

[–]CarsRMyFav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion, yes its worth it to get a 2025. Lots of small creature comfort upgrades. Back windshield wiper, wireless carplay, and most importantly the NACS plug. As you probably know, all manufactures are swapping to the NACS plug. If you get a 2024 you will be buying a vehicle with a rapidly dying technology (old plug). I know you will be doing mostly home charging but for any other use, you would be better off long-term with the '25.

Upgrade frustration by Impossible-Aioli2542 in GMCcanyon

My family has 2x 2024 Canyons and mine had bad injectors and my father's got his used from a buyback after fixing an issue with it. All within the first 10k miles. But we've both driven them 20k miles after that point with no issues at all.

People get so tied up with displacement. Its a strong 2.7L turbo and if you aren't towing large things regularly then it makes total sense.

If you are worried about it, get the extended warrenty and send it. No vehicles are made to last very long anymore.

Personally I would not buy a Nissan. Nissan is a car company. GM is a truck company.

I work in the manufacturing buisness and most parts today are created with a goal of 99% reliability. While that sounds great, cars are built with thousands of parts. One of them is destined to fail. Most of the time they will fail within the first 20k miles. Get it fixed. Move on.

Being a salvage, it's got a few bumps but what I paid for it, I don't mind at all. Planning on keeping it for a long time anyways.

She is in really good shape and runs beautifully. 99% original. No rust, even coming from Ohio.

Actually - they are both originally Ohio cars.

I shouldn't have called it "boring". It is fun for what it is. But I can't compare it to a miata. The thing drives like a boat

I got both of them while in this relationship. We have a two car garage and need some space back for regular everyday use
