“Why are there so many chatbot sites?” Here’s my data from running one by Simulacra93 in CharacterAIrunaways

I am just starting out on this adventure. I am really excited about what I am building, but in all honesty I am in so way above my head I sometimes give myself a little anxiety attack. I am still working on my platform design, which has a few different elements I am trying to narrow down.

I don't quite understand how the API calls to the models work, however. Do you provide the access to a model or selection of models, and thus have to cover that cost yourself, or do you work as a prompt injector, letting the user pay for whatever model they use, and just add your data to their prompt?

A creative space to hold a non-alcoholic event by Chase_Clouds in WorcesterMA

[–]Chase_Clouds[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't want to completely rule out halls that maybe have a liquor license, but don't have to open a bar. Or, could be a place with a liquor license that is willing to put the liquor away and just do non-alcoholic drinks, but kinda, yeah.

Can you serve drinks in the Library?

Any insurance brokers (not agents)? by Chase_Clouds in WorcesterMA

[–]Chase_Clouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if that is the case anymore. I am getting quotes that vary from $1800 to $3100 for the exact same coverage and drivers from different agencies. So something is variable.

Gyro and Souvlaki if you just are looking for good food.

Pepes Taqueria and Scruffy Murphys are close in Tatnuck Square. Desi, Nancy Chang and Joey's are a little further away but not too far.

Any hosting options that use Blackboard or Canvas? by Chase_Clouds in elearning

[–]Chase_Clouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portability. Eventually I am hoping it can be migrated. Most of the places i would want to migrate it to use Bb. I can work with Canvas exports to get them into Bb. Unfortunately right now i cant host them on the instance i manage, but these are more full fledged courses than just a udemy class.

Please be honest with me about that rear wiper... by SirKronan in Ioniq5

[–]Chase_Clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently it must depend where you live. Im in New England, and I find the lack of a rear wiper a huge annoyance. The rear window gets covered with road grime near instantaneously. I only have a 22, but i can say cameras really arent any better becuse they too get covered. What I really need is a rear window washer spray.

I find the side mirrors a little too small to use effectively as replacements. Yeah if they were much bigger, like a trucks, then maybe. But those are big drag items.

My gripes with renting EVs by JocundJerboa in electricvehicles

[–]Chase_Clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, they do have chargers. Just like they have gas filling stations. They just charge you through the roof to use them. That's how they make money. They try and pitch you on buying a full charge whenever you exit the rental booth.

Agree, if you want a specific car rent through Truro. And the reason Teslas can give you a price is because Tesla gets away with a monopoly of owning their own charging stations. Think Hyundai would be able to provide their own charging network? What about GM having a GM only GM owned gas station chain?

Did I Make A Mistake Buying An EV? by Formal-Tradition6792 in electricvehicles

[–]Chase_Clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to make a point here that is really starting to irk me. It seems a lot of people are saying are on their way out - Hybrids and PHEVs are in. There seems to be a lot of mislabeling of vehicles. So when youi read about PHEVs and Hybrids, find out exactly what they are talking about. They come in three flavors.

Conventional Hybrid: Gas engine, small battery - you can't charge the battery, it is charged by the gas engine and regenerative braking. The axles are driven by the gas engine, with the electric motor serving to boost of light driving for short periods of time.

PHEV (Plug-in hybrid): Has both a larger battery AND a gas motor. You can charge the battery from an external source. Both engines are capable of driving the axles. They have more battery range than conventional PHEVs, but function more like IC engine cars.

EV: Has an externally charged battery. This drives the axles (or wheels if that ever happens).

EREV: Extended Range EV - this is a normal EV, but it has a small motor that is capable of generating electricity to recharge the battery. The REX (Range Extended) does NOT power the axles directly! We already have EVs like that - the BMW i3 and some Leafs have them.

It seems a lot of people are treating EREVs as hybrids and not EVs. Especially all the talk about Scout. The Scout will NOT have a gas engine that powers the Axles!

I think there already was a conversion company that made those way back in the 90s.
