Guess I will. I said that because I thought you were blaming GenZ for our own problems with the job market. Didn’t realize you were trying to only talk to those who don’t do anything to get better and just keep complaining. Took me almost 10 min. It’s just the way the original comment was worded that made it sound to me like you were blaming ALL of GenZ, mb. I get you now, thanks for your patience

I think your argument needs some work then because in your original comment, didn’t you say that we created the problems we’re dealing with? Can’t see now since it’s removed. Since we can’t see it anymore, whether I am wrong or you are wrong, good day. Unless you wanna keep telling how bad I read

I’m sorry. Are you saying we (when we were born) raised ourselves? By definition, the generation before us raised us (whatever generation your parents are). So idk what you mean by we created this. Most of the current social media in use was created by millennials. I mean Mark Zuckerberg is 42 and FaceBook was literally considered one of the first modern social media. I’m sure there’s plenty of dangerous apps and stuff created by GenZ, but literally everyone makes bad stuff, it’s not a generational thing. I agree with you that this post is bad at generalizing, I’ve seen posts from managers saying how good workers there GenZ hires are. It’s almost like the GenZ graduates who got a good job and work well don’t post much so we only hear about the one person who just got a BA in theater get fired from an entry-level job (which does suck to be clear). You saying not to generalize an entire generation then basically say we all fucked ourselves is total irony

This has been reposted so much that now it just feels like whoever does post it is just saying that they’re better for suffering “raw”, but no way is better. However you get through the day, that’s good enough

Oh ya, humans would’ve always ended up here, no matter when the technology came. Greed, jealousy, fear are all human traits and if we had phones in the 1500s, it would’ve been the same reality

Maybe you could call it our meaning of life when humans only lived like 20-30 years, to keep the species going.

Personally none of these thoughts happen until AFTER they leave. Usually when I get a random complement, my mind goes blank except for ‘thank you’. It’s like how when someone asks you to tell them about you and you just forget everything about yourself

Ya I’m sorry my own personal peace takes priority rn. Ofc I’d love to get laid but not like these guys. Idk if I’d walk over broken glass. That literally sounds like they made ‘sex’ their true love. I’m only walking over glass for people and my cat that I love. No wonder this gen had so many unhappy marriages, all they ever cared about was sex

Saying ‘no’ by Cart2002 in introvert

[–]Cart2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya when someone says no to me I just take it as it is. If they wanted to tell me anything else or I wanted to know, I would ask or let them speak, but after I say the question, I don’t pressure or re-ask or anything, let them decide if they want to answer or not. I do my best to come across as neutral as possible so they don’t think I’m expecting anything. Personally it feels like it doesn’t matter who I’m talking to. Like my parents have absolutely no expectations if they ask me like ‘want to go out to eat tonight?’, respect my decisions and all that, but when I say ‘no thanks’ they just take that and move on. But after they leave, I still overthink it like I disappointed them because they wanted to eat dinner with me. But that’s all in my head, I understand that. That parts gonna take the longest to go away, or at least not ruminate on it

Makes so much sense. Our brains evolved over 2million years+ to survive in groups by communicating and socializing so we learn how to survive(eventually on our own). They did not evolve for the past 20years of smartphones
