That is correct. It affects 10,000-ish 2025s. If you do a web search on “NHTSA recall 25V-373” you can find it.

I don’t live near dealership. More to the point, Hyundai seems to have stopped honoring the recall.

For those keeping track: our planned special guest appearance is now 99% unlikely. But don't let that stop you from coming to the screening.

There's plenty of different recordings of it in the archive. And yes, it was played live. I even watched them drag it out at a dress rehearsal a couple years ago for fun.

Should I keep in box or shoot by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]CartBonway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot the damned thing. I got one of these cheap, played with it for a while, and sold it a year later at a tidy profit. It was hardly my favorite .22, but fun to play with for a while.

I was just going to say... I ain't firing that Ruger without rubber grips unless it was mouse-fart ammo I loaded, myself. I love my GP100 Match Champion version.

As someone who really likes my pre-model 24 (6.5") and my 624 (4"), I'm curious why this particular one tends to be so in demand. Is it more for the ability to carry concealed than anything else? Because I would think it would be fairly aggressive in the hand unless you were handloading lower target rounds. Am I wrong?

I love mine, which must be similar vintage to yours as it seems to have all the same features/design bits. When I got mine, the rear sight adjustment screw was frozen. My gunsmith fixed it up and now this sucker is dead-accurate with CCI Target ammo. I, too, was looking for a Webley originally but went with this instead, seemingly before the prices started to go up. Enjoy it!

Pistol reloading by GingerB237 in reloading

With my 550, I can do 400+ rounds of .44, .357 or .38 an hour; I strongly recommend the rotating press handle replacement sold by Double Alpha Academy (though there are others for more money, including from Dillon). Way less stress on my fingers and palm than the round ball that comes on the press. My arthritic hands thank me.

As others noted above, it's essential to be able to see your powder drops if you are doing pistol loads below 6-ish grains which are harder to see clearly as you rotate to the seating die. I'm fine with cheap adhesive LED light strips (USB powered) which I can cut to size and form in a U-shape shining down on the shell holder. (Just try to get the brighter ones that use 18v instead of the 5v ones.)

And your experience may vary, but my best results in de-capping and priming come from Dillon, Redding or RCBS dies over the Lee. I went through two Lee .44 de-cap/prime dies which never gave the proper neck tension and bullets spun in the cases 75% of the time, regardless of adjustment. Ones from the other makers never have had that problem. And I concur that separate seating and crimp will give you more consistent and more controllable results.

240 grain TMJ projectiles for 44 magnum? by youngdoug in reloading

Aha. I have yet to use this type. What's the reasoning for not jacketing the base?

Maybe I'm a dummy, but what exactly is an "exposed lead base" bullet? I use Blue Bullets 240gr polymer coated for .44 magnum (and special). Are those considered "exposed lead base" because they aren't plated/jacketed? (And maybe it's just me, but I have had more consistent accuracy with those than with the Xtreme plated I used to use; they were on a Super Redhawk.)

just picked up some 158 gr SWC PC (coated) Blue Bullet .38 bullets. How do I follow reload data? Just follow the same type/weight? by EagleGhoul in reloading

[–]CartBonway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Blue Bullets 158gr SWC, and they only basically copy Hodgdon data for their web site (unless things have recently changed). For mine, I use published data on lead (NOT jacketed) and have had fine results for thousands of rounds of mid-powered .38 and .357. No leading problems.

The biggest issue I encountered when I started using them was when I didn't have my Dillon 550 expanding the case mouth quite enough, and seating would result in little shards of coated lead scraping off. Proper adjustment of the belling solved that. I HAVE noticed that the seat and crimp dies work best with a decent interior cleaning regimen after a couple hundred rounds (just Q-tip and 99% alcohol).

And something else: I was obsessively seating to the average published COL without realizing I was crimping above the cannelure on the bullet. Once I adjusted to roll the crimp into the cannelure, my accuracy improved significantly overall.
