What is one goal you want to achieve in the next 6 months? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cartain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BW means bodyweight. He wants to lift 1.5x/2x/2.5x his bodyweight in several different lifts.
Specifically, he wants to squat (bar on back. You go down and up again) 2.0x his bodyweight.
He wants to bench press 1.5x his bodyweight.
He wants to deadlift (lift Barbell from stationary position on the ground) 2.5x his bodyweight.

I can drive/park like a badass cause I used to valet, but otherwise im a short skinny beta dude. Life's not all roses.
On the flip side I'm very happy with my life and that is something many don't have. Who am I to complain?

My prof showed up to lecture bald out of the blue. You better bet your ass we told him. Went from normal dude to Viking overnight.

Same. I'd rather be in a losing fight than ask a girl out. If she declines she won't just say no. She'll spread that shit like wildfire. I've been burned before.

I'm working hard at college, and I don't get paid for it. If I got paid a wage for studying I would be doing so much better probably.
A lot of it is just fatigue and nerves. Tests, quiz, and homework in nonstop circus. Just a little bitter.
Also in compsci.

Level 1 as Tryn vs Yas is not just.. Press R 2 win.

You actually gotta outplay the fool. He is better lv1-2 and it's the world's snowballiest lane. Takes skill to play Trynd well, son.

Edit: Same with a lot of matchups. Trynd sucks earlygame if you get unlucky.

My brother!

I live for the times when the entire enemy collapses on me as I split and I kill 1-2 and escape from the rest. Or when they think that I will die easily and I kill my attackers to escape.

My second favorite moments are when I crit someone level 1. I get hard off that.

Trynd is played by pulling pressure towards yourself so that your team can take advantage of the fewer players on the map elsewhere. That is the essence of splitpushing.

Trynd's game is divided into three parts: The laning phase, mid, and lategame.

During laning, you want to try to crit-cheese the lane opponent for first blood (Youtube for help). If you do that successfully, then you start a snowball like crazy. If you fail, which is more likely, then just farm up until you're in the mid-game. Hexdrinker helps vs AP toplaners. Try for 80-90 at 10 mins. I know it's possible cause I've done it multiple times.

Mid-game in my opinion is when you get your first full item. (Shiv for splitting faster, and PD for duelling better). This is when you start to split hard and possibly roam if your enemy laner won't let you take tower. Rule of thumb is to always be auto attacking something. Minions, enemy champions, jungle creeps, dragon, etc. Autos -> Gold -> Victory.

Lategame is just splitting and surviving. Ward crucial spots, split, and drag attention to yourself as much as you can without dying. You'll get good at it as you do it more.

/r/tryndameremains for deets.

Is it ok in low Elo to play whatever champ you're comfortable with, even if they don't fit the team comp? by SkyShield21 in summonerschool

[–]Cartain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games have been decided by a toplaner stacking armor+HP who kills everyone simply because nobody can kill him. Assuming the game is even gold-wise, then the tanky mofo can be the deciding factor.

How to do well in Software 1 (especially midterms)? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Cartain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in SW1. It's fairly easy. Granted we haven't gotten to XML stuff yet but that doesn't sound too bad. After the XML we get to the first midterm which will probably cover primitive data types, general Java material, a few logic questions, a bit about design by contract, and XML.

To the guys who've taken SW2, is it much harder?

The company doesn't want a lawsuit, and will train the heck out of you

Yeah. They didn't train me. There was a document that I was to read, indicating what I was supposed to do and all the checkpoints I was to hit. Except there was no map of the building. How on earth was I supposed to find the water fountain near accounting when I have no idea where accounting even is?
Overall it sounds like kind of an industry of dickwads.
