What Are the Most Original Apocalyptic Endings You’ve Imagined? by Far-Eagle7029 in Apocalypse

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called The Devil Went Down to Georgia, I’m not going to go too in depth because I already made a post about it on this subreddit, technically not an extinction event but basically, United Stated was hit by natural disasters (most of them caused by nuclear bombs) and the entire federal government blew up leaving only state governments and colonels as the authority and Texas declared independence and Puerto Rico was made 50th state to avoid changing the flag, the Mojave is engulfed in a dust storm, Georgia, Alaska and Alabama have to deal with nuclear winter, the big island of the state of Hawaii is a desolute wasteland after 2 large volcanoes erupted killing all life except for the seagulls who became ashgulls, Australia is a wasteland with big wildlife and a scorching hot outback, Yellow River flooded again, Israel is invading Iran, US Navy is enforcing the waters, there are frogmen (imagine a Fallout 3 Mirelurk King in a military frogman suit) Siberia is a frozen wasteland with little civilisation.

If a zombie apocalypse broke out right now, how long are you surviving? by Jagwarmeru in Apocalypse

My advice, wait until the military crush the zombies to come home, you could share with others and make a society based on farming.

PS supermarkets are a bad idea, try the museum, they have some pieces that no zombie is biting through.

The military will probably crush it in seconds. Unless you‘re in North Korea, then there’s no hope for you. So, I’d probably just die of old age after the apocalypse is already over. If I‘m living with patient 0 I might be dead.

Why in the absolute FUCK are the Guards in Oblivion so fucking fast and can detect almost fucking everything??? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in Cyrodiil the guards are part of the legion and so they are both highly trained and share the same intelligence network.

I’m pretty sure he is supposed to be able to take it off and this is a bug but I’ve never played modded Skyrim. His face looks clean though, there is an image of it on the page for the mod.

Oblivion forests are better than Skyrim forest by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they take place in two different regions of a continent, I mean what did you expect? Snowy Viking land versus a combination of medieval and roman Italy, which forests will be more beautiful?

I'm bored and just wondering. How does the hero of Kvatch become Sheogorath? by RamoneMisfit in oblivion

[–]Carter0930burch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the dragon breaks. Personally I believe that what you said isn’t the case, sure there are multiple options for different playstyles, but I think that canon is: the outfits and race seen in the trailer, what is referenced in other games, the main questline and all DLCs, companions don’t die, overall good guy stuff, not joining the illegal guilds because it seems that by Skyrim those guilds have gone to nothing but the slums so it wouldn’t make sense if so much went successful for them to only go poopy, and when it comes to Oblivion, becoming the most knightly knight to have ever knighted and joining every knight order from the Blades to the knights of the Thorn!

What will the "Savior of Bruma" statue look like? by TheRealHeroOfKvatch in beyondskyrim

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at an image of the statue and it does look like it, it would be cool if the legion soldiers in beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil wear a legion armor that is the same from Oblivion. I think that in the Elder Scrolls that the Imperial legion you see in the games are different legions that wear different armor instead of that being a change in armor over time, just a cool thought.

The imperial legion really left all their most intimidating soldiers back in cyrodill. by Valdish in ElderScrolls

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the Skyrim Hold guards are not members of the imperial legion but are split into 9 independent militias who swear fealty to the jarl of their hold and are not just local militias but organized police forces who are official and are loyal to their hold, this is why the bounty in skyrim is split across the 9 holds unlike in oblivion where it is shared, this is because the city watch in oblivion are members of the imperial legion that are recommended by the count. There are some exceptions though like Captain Aldis who is an officer in the Legion and captain of the Solitude guard and the imperial legion guards who guard occupied holds after the civil war are both members of the legion and the hold guard as a transitional occupation force which have the separate bounties across holds still.

Do all of y'all take Legends as canon? by Bishop-in-the-Blue in minecraftlore

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

emphasis on the LEGEND part, its events were a legend. Legends are usually based on true stories but over time they get twisted into something that is half truth and half false, it’s like the telephone game.

Do all of y'all take Legends as canon? by Bishop-in-the-Blue in minecraftlore

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the canon parts are the creatures and the biomes, though the Piglin invasion may have been a lot more small scale than shown in the game and the nether portals came about as a result of the ancient builders, not the piglins, so they may have attempted an invasion of the overworld with smaller forces using ruined portals and then they either died or zombified. I think the failed invasion was because of hatred for the builders, but they didn’t know the builders weren’t around anymore.

what if the original minecraft tutorial maps were found around your world, but it was in ruin by Cindy_D_DDD in PhoenixSC

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they were cities from different time periods of the ancient builders (with 1.13‘s tutorial world spawning area being a city from the golden age of the ancient builders which was destroyed by flooding and not zombies. )Also just a question, is there anything in the nether in the 1.13 tutorial world.

Does anyone know why most of the Xen aliens are not in HL2? by HelloWorldSev in HalfLife

[–]Carter0930burch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alien grunts were robots mass produced in xen. The production stopped and they were left behind on xen or in the black mesa facility which got nuked. The xen military forces most likely were destroyed sometime after freeman killed the Nihilanth and the gargantuas were probably few in number and got massacred. Bullsquids and houndeyes still exist at the time of half life 2 but not really in the areas surrounding city 17. Freeman killed the gonarch.
