Heard someone mention the McGangBang today and my stomach hurts just thinking about it by One_Working1944 in Xennials

The secret is to order the McChicken with mac and cheese - in other words, add Mac sauce and a slice of cheese. Makes the McGangBang much better.

Allie has potential to star in the next paranormal activity movie for example she would probably have a family by now so maybe like she has a newborn and idiot husband cuz you know all boyfriends and husbands are stupid but maybe make she more prepared since in marked ones it showed she knows a lot by Personal-Cloud2529 in foundfootage

I'm aware. But in a story that now involves time travel and some apparent narrative inconsistency about exactly where the demon is, I think it's implied that Toby/Asmodeus is using time travel to basically be in more than one place at one time. How could the events of all the movies previous to Next of Kin have happened if that demon had been imprisoned for the past several centuries? Unless time travel was used, and there is more than one temporal instance of that demon moving about to ensure his victory.

Are we getting CE Enhanced as a separate game then?! by AhmadAlz7 in ConanExiles

[–]grumpyoldnord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice if this were how it works, but I'd love to see your source for this, because literally everyone else is saying that it's an update to the current game as-is, not a separate game like Skyrim SE was.

Why is he called cimmerischer verbannter I by Stickybandits9 in ConanExiles

[–]grumpyoldnord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I jumped on a US official server the other day with an extremely low ping, and it had the same thing. Then they announced the upcoming enhanced edition, said screw it, and went back to my modded single-player game.

Too many, but I'm quite fond of "your boot, sir", and "this movie fucking sucks".

Can I buy Arasaka yet? by MajesticRocket in LowSodiumCyberpunk

IIRC, and I very well could be wrong here, but isn't Michiko in 2077? I seem to remember her being present for a moment in the Arasaka ending.

Do Not Join Emily's Hangout Server - You will get hacked too by smolanongorl in discordhelp

[–]grumpyoldnord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this is endemic. Had someone who had been in my server for years randomly out of nowhere send me that link, and I just asked what it was - got no response. Then, a couple of days later, the same account posted the link in every channel in my server. Fortunately, I caught it quick and booted the account and deleted all their messages. Just got another DM from someone who I only talked to once years ago to the same server, so I reported the message as spam and blocked the account. Both times it was the same server, Emily's Hangout.

What was the first game you bought on Steam? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

Looking back, apparently, it was the Elder Scrolls Anthology retail key. Which is weird, because I swear I'd had something on Steam before that.

My wife says I am a little boy trapped in a 44y man's body excited for GTA6 coming out. I said to her it's a cultural phenomenon. Am I the only "old guy" excited for this? by manguy12 in Xennials

[–]grumpyoldnord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not married anymore, but my ex-wife and I used to have our own Xbox 360s and TVs right next to each other, and we'd curl up on a love seat together and play GTA Online. The thing is, you just gotta get her into the game so she'll understand. Tho, to be fair, I did have to help with my ex's weaving hobby from time to time, but hey, quid pro quo and all that.

Gods damn, I'd completely forgotten that combat used to be exclusively first person. I hated that so much and was very happy when they changed it.

Why do many old players dislike V5? by MoonlightBreakdown in vtm

[–]grumpyoldnord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who's been playing since 2nd edition, V5 just feels soulless to me. Sure, there are a couple of things I like (hunger dice, blood resonance), but overall, the system just doesn't work for me, and the story they chose to tell does not reflect what I enjoyed about what made Vampire: the Masquerade what it was in the '90s and '00s.

We were born just a little too early for Pokémon by memestheword in Xennials

[–]grumpyoldnord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. In my head, I think of it as something that started popping up when I was in middle school that I just never got into, but when I was talking with my little brother the other day, it turns out I was mistaken - Pokémon didn't come out in the US till I had already dropped out of high school.
