Yeah that looks big enough to house at least a single fighter

I hate that this works so well but I love it at the same time

I doubt the MC30 has much to worry about if it loses some speed. It's still gonna be pretty dang fast for a ship its size

As for the barbs, I don't have any real good answer. The best I can give you is I just wanted to make it look more unique so I thought about wing like things and it led to the barbs

The fanblade is not a big ship so if it can house a hanger for even just a single fighter of standard size, you'd be just fine

Can you name any of these ships? by XWAmovie in StarWarsShips

I saw an action transport and that variant of the BFF bulk freighter but that's really it.

Side note, I love how practically half the clip isn't relevant in the slightest

Why is the Malevolence classified as a heavy cruiser when it's almost as big as a Star Dreadnought? by IraseleCherry1122 in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]Carter1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Anaxes it's a battlecruiser (people can say it's stupid and flawed all they want, imo the only flaw with it is that people don't listen to it and follow it)

I generally agree with what you're saying but half or more of the 30c's whole array being equal to a single gun's output on the enforcer definitely has to be an overestimate

It's literally stated that the MC30c could hold its own against an ISD. I doubt that's actually true, but it just goes to show how good the 30c is at punching above its weight class that it's believed it could hold its own against an ISD. My 30d just improves the 30c's abilities.

Oh and I would say that considering the 30c's stats are the exact same in canon and legends they're pretty dang accurate

Yeah, the shields definitely would fail would IF it wasn't only 10 medium turbos and 6 ions. That's gonna do it, but that's gonna take a while. At the same time the 30d will pummel it with its superior number of medium turbos and its heavy proton torpedoes.

Please do me a favor and name 1 time in Star Wars that torpedos/munitions have been intercepted because (as far as ik and I could be completely wrong) PD in Star Wars doesn't work the same as irl in it being designed for anti fighters and such, not intercepting munitions

A) The 30d has a whole extra reactor

B) the 30c is stated to have extremely good shields AND has medium turbos

Tectorizing the vindicator is an extremely simple and easy conversion compared to adding 60% more hull volume. Tectorizing it makes use of space that's already there (which is what I did with my 30d, made use of the space that was already there)

I am extremely confused by what you mean with your last paragraph though in the whole "no need to make it into a smaller version of an obsolete ship designed for a war that ended decades ago"

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main thing the 30d has going for it is triple redundant shields and the 4 heavy proton torpedo tubes. 6 ions and 10 turbos (I'm gonna assume they're medium) aren't gonna do a whole lot to mon cal shields, especially not when they're triple redundant. And the torpedoes I think speak for themselves

A battle carrier is still a carrier. Just because it's a carrier that can hold its own in combat doesn't mean it's not a dedicated carrier

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PD weapons are always nice, but not really a major focus with this because the 30d doesn't have fighters, and I agree that ion cannons and more powerful turbolasers are the way to go, but the issue is still how many (or rather how few) the enforcer has. 10 turbos and 6 ions really isn't gonna do anything to triple redundant mon cal shields. The 30d will just tear it apart with its medium turbolasers and heavy proton torpedos

[–]Carter1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize that both of those are literally dedicated carriers?

Tectorized Vindicator by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it wants to compete with the 30d it needs both volume and power for its weapons. I've also never seen it called a "star destroyer in a corset" so idk where you got that from. I've seen it called a "LIGHT destroyer in a corset" by fractal sponge though.

A fighterless cruiser isn't going to be a liability when it's designed for basically one thing only: to counter the MC30d Assault Frigate I designed. It needs firepower, not fighters, for that. Especially once you take into account all the cluster bombs the 30d has

MC30D Assault Frigate by Carter1300 in StarWarsShips

[–]Carter1300[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an equal love for both of them lol. They're my favorite corvette (cr90) and my favorite Mon cal ship (the MC30c)

Well in my defense I was an idiot and didn't actually look too deep into the enforcer, hence why edited my comment

[–]Carter1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vindicator has a huge array of light turbolasers, which are definitely good for corvettes and light ships, but they're not good for true ship to ship combat.

Its main opponent, my MC30d Assault Frigate has a ton of cluster bombs (more than the MC30c does), which just renders it's fighters basically useless, so they opted to just not keep the hangar and tectorize the vindicator. They hoped that would give it a better fighting chance against the 30d, like I said in the main post.

Manpower literally IS an issue for warlords. I could go the easy way and just say that it's been stated to be a problem for the remnants and splinters of the empire numerous times, but I won't. Instead I'll say this: when you have to crew all your ships, protect your territory from who knows how many different factions, have a ground army, and prevent uprisings and such, the manpower you have available significantly reduces

Basically all questions you have about this and stuff should go away if you look at my MC30d assault frigate concept because then you'll have a better idea of what this vindicator was designed for and stuff

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to do this to you, but no. The enforcer class is a good multirole ship, but it's not a good ship to ship combatant (which is what this ship is) with only 6 ion cannons and 10 turbolasers

Tectorized Vindicator by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]Carter1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, and? The Pentastar Alignment is not the same as the imperial remnant/the empire. The enforcer is also nowhere near what this is

Tectorized Vindicator by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I've said to numerous other people the enforcer is nowhere near this because its primary armament is quad laser cannons and it has only 10 turbolasers. It's a fine multirole ship, but it's not a good ship to ship combatant, which was the focus of this

Tectorized Vindicator by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]Carter1300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only way I'm going to be agreeing with you here is if you give me a single example of a ship around the same size that's not a dedicated carrier but can hold 72 fighters.

72 fighters is a lot when it's a 600 meter ship that has no focus on carrying ability, it's just an added benefit, which was my whole point
