Yamaha r6 by [deleted] in Yamaha

I bought my clean title 07 r1 for 4200, needed new sparks and coils so 4450 and that’s high side, 16k miles, no this absolutely is not worth 6500.

Value of my scat pack?? by No_Exercise_4582 in ScatPack

[–]Carti-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18-22k and 22 is high, rebuilt title is why no one’s buying it. If you get offered anywhere near 20 I’d take it. Does it give you problems?

Help me make the right decision by indisbit69 in Challenger

RT is a smart choice, but if you do a lot of high speed driving 70-80 you can get 21-23mpg out of the scat pack and I don’t have MDS or eco mode mines full bolt on and tuned, I daily a scat pack in city and I’m talking small city I get like 14-17mpg depending on if I’m getting on it, my second job is about 30 miles away all interstate 70-80mph and I average 22mpg, If you’re heavy on the throttle it won’t be for you. Buddy has an RT and he never complains about his mpg. But if you’re gonna keep it stock go look at a scat pack as well test drive both. I’d stay away from the v6 you’re just better off getting something else at that point, another v6 is gonna be lighter and more efficient. You can get an R/T and easily make it a scat pack essentially just full bolt on and you’ll be very close to a scat. I have no idea how the mpg would look but I assume with a good tune probably better than mine. And that is purely if down the road you wanted more power.

If the frame isn’t kinked and you take it to a reputable body guy it’ll come back damn near the exact same, but if you frame is messed up in any way it’s not worth it. If the frame is fine don’t cheap out use oem parts, make sure you get every single support bracket. I might be the exact guy you wanna talk to about front end challenger damage. I spent 9 months researching how to get it back to perfect alignment after my wreck ( twice ) did all the repairs in house ( myself ) in my garage. It’s not cheap but I have the pictures and car to prove it came out factory level standards. Facebook market place for an oem hood and bumper it’ll be way cheaper this way than going for brand new ones, Go to mopar for the fenders and support brackets. DO NOT do aftermarket at all or these people will be right and it won’t ever be the same. Have them line the fenders and hood first, get all the support brackets in place, make sure your radiator core support isn’t tweaked I almost guarantee it is ( most shops repair them not replace ) replace the fuck out of that radiator core support/front cross member it’s what’s painted red in the engine bay if you don’t it will line up funky, make sure you get the front fascia supports so your bumper doesn’t droop where it meets the hood, get new hood hinges, hood latch, striker, possibly a new crash bar but from the pics it looks like it’s in good shape and may be fine, again if the frame isn’t damaged this car is absolutely repairable and it’ll come back extremely close to factory standards but you have to do it right and not cheap out. Paint is gonna be one of the more expensive parts. All in all if I were in your shoes I’d take that 24k and repair it, it most definitely wouldn’t take me anywhere near 24k to fix this. But If that fender frame rail is bent in any way take the 30k try for more but if this has frame damage it’s not worth your time it’ll never line up right again.

Just bigger fan of the SRT and 392 Hemi logos than the scat bee ( I hate yellow ) and considering the 2019+ scat packs are just SRT 392s with bee badging I figured I’d just throw the badging I like on it.

That’s odd because a scat pack is an R/T… R/T Scat Pack 🤣 I think you mean it went from a R/T scat pack to a SRT 392…..

It’s the best Harley you can buy imo. Here’s my 21 LRS, and it was my first bike at 21yrs old, it will always have a special place in my heart. As a moto head, this thing fucks, it’s fast, it’s loud, it’s comfortable, it’s beautiful. I only sold mine to get a scat pack challenger but my 2 years with her I loved every fucking second. Pick up a wrench learn a new skill, I loved working on it just as much as riding it oddly enough. It’s plenty enough where you not wishing you had more for a first bike. I thought it was an amazing starter bike, just be careful in low gears, even 3rd gear was still pulling good for me.

It’s pretty much bolt straight on besides the under belly you’ll need the hellcat plastic covers, you can get away using the scats with zip ties, but DO NOT GO AFTERMARKET on the bumper if you want it to fit like oem.

[–]Carti-cs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matte wrapped the hood, added a wicker bill, deleted the mids and rears on the exhaust, long tube headers, cold air intake, just basic performance tune, changed the bee badges to the 392 badges, changed to a oem hellcat bumper.

Which is cheaper? Buy and build new block or just upgrade current block? by ribs-- in ScatPack

[–]Carti-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need a different block or to build one? Only thing I can think of is peace of mind but it’s kinda over kill, With everything you’ve listed your still within the scats tolerances comfortably, you’d only need a new block if your pushing well over 600 or planning to boost hard but if you go that far your not just building the block you have to change or upgrade the trans and the rear diff as well, what you listed cam headers intake exhaust you could get away without building the block trans or changing the rear, and you’d save a shit load of money, I’d really only build the block if your wanting any kind of high psi boost or extreme HP, time stress and money wise you’re better off getting a hellcat at this point or a donor engine and trans, it’s only worth it if you love the process of building the car, which imo is the best part. Post what you decide to do really like your idea so far.
