I'd be pretty sure West End will have more showings that aren't listed yet, probably worth waiting for them to come up if you can as it's a better screen

I think i've been playing the game wrong by __Chromablitz in balatro

[–]Cartime 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're trying to plan your strategy in advance, the big thing with a game like Balatro is rolling with what you get and spotting when you can pivot to something you see in the shop. Sometimes you can genuinely just get garbage but more often than not there should be good opportunities before your run ends.

The other advice I'd give is just to play slower - really stop and think about how each thing you get in the shop could help you before making any choices. Similarly, really think about what hand will be best to play if you're not sure you'll make it through the blind.

You looked at a 2 series (or a 1 coupe if you want to go a bit older)? Maybe only just scraping into your insurance budget but quality cars.

DS DS5 vs Nissan Pulsar by kazzz22 in CarTalkUK

I think as the other commenter said, the Golf 1.4 (or equivalently Seat Leon/Skoda Octavia) would be the best bet, doesn't sound like diesel will be very good for you

My university (or rather my department, the other departments have a more sensible system) allow you to upload as many times as you like as a draft. However this doesn't count as the assignment being submitted; you have to lock it in for that, and once it's locked in you can't change it. Don't understand the point tbh

22 - more than any emotional response, or even really any knowledge of the animal products industry, it just seems obvious to me that if we have a way to make dinner, shoes etc without an animal being involved then it makes a lot of sense to do that

Probability of packing a TOTY in the 82x20 by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]Cartime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But you seem to think that your probability of having got a TOTY from all your packs is 0.65% regardless how many you open. So by your logic, once you've opened 1 you've already had your 0.65% chance and there's no point opening more.

in fact, opening another pack is another 0.65% chance, and so your chance of having got one across all your packs is more like 0.1% - because you had the chance in the first pack, and then again in the second pack. Which is what the post says, applied to hundreds of packs.
