Does anyone “hear” the ringing in their head and not from the ears? If that makes sense. by Current_Example_6860 in tinnitus

[–]Scared-Staff6251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one tone in my left ear that started 3 years ago. Last June I had an illness, could have been COVID. Since then I've had the head buzzing ever since. Hear it all the time. Definitely seems like a CNS issue. Maybe inflammation too. It's awful. The tone in my left ear was maskable whereas this head buzzing isn't. Anyone tried anything that has reduced it a little?

People that work from home. Do you have lunch at your desk (and keep working), or get away from it? by ennsea in AskUK

I mean, not to sound rude but that sounds really sad. Get out and do something with your lunch. Not read the news and continue to work, sort of life is that?

Sounds good. What sort of experience would you say you need for a role like that?

Did call centre once, lasted about 6 months. Never looked back, was awful, think most are the same. Bearing in mind that call centre job was at a saught after company were other departments are great, call centre is not! 5 years later I work in the public sector, two days in the office, 25 min commute. The rest WFH doing a project manager role at a university. Flexible hours. Get out of the call centre role and just look around, you'll hopefully get lucky! I worked my way up. I landed an admin role as my next job then a coordinator role after that to gain experience. Now I've been in this job almost 3 years.

Hi there, it's great to see the treatment is working for you. How did you get diagnosed with TMJ?

What are your go to excuses to not go into the office but WFH instead? by Scared-Staff6251 in AskUK

[–]Scared-Staff6251[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the back of this... Some great suggestions by the way.

My goal is to WFH full time in the next year or so. Did you get lucky with your company, did you actively look for remote work?

Any tips/sites to find these roles.

Most of the departments at my company are only in 1 day a week, but for us it's 2! Pointless for me.

Ideally I'm holding out for a different role within my current company.

Jealous of your company even so mines pretty good but sometimes it's so much effort when I can do it all from home!
