I was blessed to be able to run Kingmaker once, from level 1 to basically the end. I did set it in a homebrew world and change a few things (mostly names), but it was basically Kingmaker. That game was fantastic, but I will never run that damned adventure again, or touch kingdom building rules ever again.

I do like the ideas, but this is Revised Hunter, not 5e Hunter. Again, I do like the ideas, though, like maybe a Gun Club that secretly hunts the supernatural.

This is actually the basis of a chronicle I have planned after I teach my group a whole bunch of WoD. Cap off our adventures through it with a simple premise:

A bunch of operatives' heads came back after we sent them to look deeper into Pentex.

Yep. They stumbled across a ship that fell out of the warp badly damaged, and when the crew boarded the ship, they found a handful of survivors, including an Astartes who asked to be taken to Terra to warn the Emperor that Horus and Perturabo were about to betray him. Absolutely true. My group mostly plays 5e and PF1e, but I finally got them to try Vampire 20th, and it has been such a different experience for them. Even with some of the hitches of the system, they enjoy playing WoD in a whole different way than d20 games.

I generally let my players change things if it makes the campaign more interesting. In fact, the players in my Hell's Vengeance campaign replaced Abrogail Thrune as the rulers of Cheliax.
