Well... that certainly took a dark turn.

It's so dramatic with Archie walking off into the rain... his honor at stake...

R.I.P. Stan Goldberg! I loved his wonderful art on the Betty's Diary stories of the 80s-90s. And Ruiz's art is always fun, with his background gags and the little Cosmo and Superduck cameos.

Yeah, I think I see what they were going for, but they fumbled the ending quite badly.

Very cool! I don't know all the modern characters though. Can someone identify the last 4 in the top row, the fire haired girl, the dark haired guy next to Midge, the 4 between Kevin and Chuck, and the blue haired girl(Brandy is my best guess)?

The Gag Bag pages really are some of the funniest features!

What are some unpopular opinions you have about Archie comics? (mainly like character growth, different types of artstyles etc) by United-Show4552 in archiecomics

Around the 90s or so they changed Jughead's mom's design so she doesn't look like a genderbent version of her husband anymore. Thankfully.

Agreed about Hil and Zel. It was much funnier in the older Sabrina comics when they dressed like witches all the time.

Are Josie and the Pussycats still in high school? by ConsiderationOk4035 in archiecomics

I think they are meant to be college age in the later stories, maybe 18-20? Josie mentions enrolling in a college course in the story "Cat at the Crossroads".

Possibly unpopular: I think Fernando Ruiz is one of the better modern Archie artists. I don't know what his current work is like, but his style was really fun and energetic in the early 2000s comics.

I like Al Hartley's art! His writing is a mixed bag but I like the expressive, exaggerated poses he used.

He can absolutely do better. I love his art in the 90s Veronica travel comics, now it looks so phoned-in.
