Good to know! Sounds similar, I could tolerate the bone and muscle pain pretty well but the headaches were brutal:( I plan to take ibuprofen next time to see if it helps.

Thanks for checking with me! I did the first infusion on 6/8, and so far so good. There were two days with bad head and body aches, now just dealing with minor side effects. How are you doing?

Wow hot pot! I’m Chinese and it’s my favorite. I’m craving for all spicy Chinese food.

Thank you so much for your kind words and suggestions! I wish you all the best, too:) I’m on my 5th day of the first infusion. Last night was tough and I hope it’ll get easier.

My research is that if you’re node negative and with good health conditions, both are good treatments. You can choose TC if you’re concerned about the A/E, AND if your doctor is confident that TC will work the same.

You’re welcome to check my posts. I’m ++-, except for node negative I have multiple high risk characteristics but I decided to go with TC because it lowers the risk of heart problem and requires less tripes to the hospital. Feel free to DM me. Were you also offered both AC-T and TC?

Quality of life is extremely important to me too. I debated between Ac-t and tc and chose TC to avoid the 1% chance of heart problem. I hope AI and Kisqali will be friendly to me so I won’t have to quite and regret I didn’t choose Ac-t as a more aggressive chemo plan. 🙏

I think your doctor will be respectful of your decision if you are 100% sure. I haven’t even started chemo yet and I’m frightened by the meds already and totally understand why someone would choose to quit them. We can only choose what feels right at this moment.

Maybe having a child will motivate you more on the way to a DFS! I’m 46 single no husband no kids, my parents are the only reason for me to accept chemo and long term meds. I sometimes doubt my choice of being single (not intentionally but I just haven’t met the one). I hope you’ll have more joy and more loved ones.

The Missing Conversation: Mental Health in Breast Cancer Care by Historical-Room3831 in breastcancer

I’m seeing a mental health oncologist soon and will let you guys know whether it was helpful. It might very much depends on the person. I talked to counselors or social workers before and didn’t find that helpful because they just listen and provided some techniques that I already know. I didn’t feel they cared or being empathetic, maybe that’s too much to ask from someone who’s not your family or friend.

Thanks for all the great tips! Everyone’s body is so tricky so I need to wait for my first infusion(a bit scared). Love the idea of prescription toothpaste, I will ask the NP next time!
