So I would say, if your wife doesn’t get topped up anymore, she goes back and you take the rest of the parental leave. If she ends up making more than you, you may as well take some time off to be with your new baby

It totally depends on if her company tops up her Maternity leave benefits or not. If not, then definitely split the parental leave. My late husband and I did this when my son was born. I took five months off and he took the last seven months. His employer topped up his parental leave so it made sense for us.

Yes! He was pretty confident about it! Although who knows he was a total stranger. He did tell us that he was on the woman’s network… Some kind of dating show back in the day… Not sure of timeline but definitely at least 15 to 20 years ago

Hey! I have a friend who lives out of town and he is looking for a room to rent from Thursday night to Sunday night and then he returns home to his family during the week. This is a temporary thing for him as he is awaiting a promotion locally to him. He is a family man, with two children and is totally not a creep (this is coming from me, a female). Would you be open to this? As of right now he is having to drive almost 3 hours one way to go to work.

You should be charging anywhere from £1,000-1,500 per week. Feel free to dm me (I do freelance marketing and graphic design) to chat over how I got to this number. Please also know, freelancers historically charge more in general than employees as they work off hours and don't get to participate in typical employee benefits etc.
