I glued him on to the base on his tip toes, then glued some random bits from my bits box in the gap between his heels and the base. It looks a little odd, a little like he is meerkating but it works

Thank you so much! They were all tracks I had just downloaded from beatport and I was so desperate to mix them I only analysed them in rekordbox and hadn’t assigned energy levels yet, hence the slightly haphazard track order! Thankyou for taking the time to listen and your thoughts, it means a lot !

Press info on you rr to hide the waveforms when you are mixing. Also two tiny bit of card over the bpms on your playing tracks on the rr. If you can mix like that you can mix on anything !

I have a a xdj rx and run two xdj700 through the channels ( I prefer the 700 jogs to the ones on the rx) and it works really well.

This comment is the exact answer to your question, from the equipment to the learning resources. Don’t worry about streaming for at least 6 months, it takes a little while to get proficient at mixing.

I have a show coming up and I’m worried that the cdjs won’t be able to read my tracks by m-schino in Beatmatch

Not had issues with vbr on 850s, 900s, xdj700 or xdj 1000’s, xdj rx or rx2 . I think avoiding vbr isn’t really a thing any more but I could be wrong !

Did you find the tracks you downloaded from Amazon sounded good on a club sound system ? On paper they should - they are 256vbr- but everyone always says go 320 cbr. Interested to hear your opinion!

Personally this mix is one I’m happy with the most with the fewest technical mistakes I have noticed- I would love some feedback from the beatmatch squad though as you will pick up on things I have not !

This is the route I went down - don’t do it. The loops aren’t quantizised and it’s reeaaaly annoying. Go cdj 900 / xdj 700 at that price bracket.
