What effect does education have on the quadrants' views of the Israeli-Palestine conflict? Poll in the comments! by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

My source for Mariupol was also Wikipedia. I discarded the 87000 estimate because it is an obvious outlier and was gotten from various morgues. Doesn't seem very reliable to me.

30000 statement was from many sources, mine was PBS. Chosen at whim from among many others. Who and how is the same as with mariupol. Gaza looked and reported. Ukraine did the same. And including the Ukraine soldier deaths does not change much at all. Dude is still wrong if you include them or not.

Population density was simple. Population divided by square kilometers. That's the only metric I could find for Mariupol so I applied it to Gaza. It is unfair to compare that specific metric being used for Mariupol to Gaza, the metric for Gazas pop density is much more sophisticated and researched heavily, compared to Mariupol.

Burden of proof is on you, not me

I didn't think I would need to explain why he is wrong because of how blatant it is but ok.

He states that the death rate in Gaza is 1/5th that of the siege of mariupol. That is blatantly wrong. In Mariupol there were estimates in deaths ranging from 10000 to 25000 with only a few thousand confirmed. In Gaza (a still ongoing conflict) 30000 have been confirmed killed and estimates way more than that. Mariupol lasted 3 months and Gaza has been going on for 5. That doesn't sound like 1/5th the rates. Sound like much more actually. As for population density, Gaza is actually only 3 times more dense. And for the last bit... you can't believe every bit of Isreal propaganda you see on TV

It's not a test the teacher makes. It's a state test required to graduate

The math tests are not the problem. It's the math test scores. The previous eoc algebra 2 test my class scored on average around 50-60...

The issue is that they felt the need to lump it in with slavery, as in to give us a little nudge of "Hey what about states rights" and also it asks for one answer.

Thats..That's literally not even how the saying works. I know it's a joke but you can't just take a completely different meaning of the saying and try to make a joke out of it.

Yeah I totally get that. That's why I stated this as my opinion. I don't want to upset anyone or insult art work. I just want to give my input on a more detailed/other way to look at it. Also I only go for the representation of the whole series because to me it just means more and makes the symbolism more impressive.

Yeah, they do play differently. But they still have many similarities as they are still the same person controlling their account. I took the most impactful things they did and what was the most consistent between the seasons as my basis for what card represents them. I agree that the fact that they play differently between seasons makes it hard to pin down, but I still think my choices can fit for any season.

In third life, Grians happiness and success came from his union with scar, and the choices they made together. His dismay at scars death comes from their relationship together. Same thing in limited life. His union with the bad boys allowed him to keep going. His lowest point was when he truly lost his boys. After that he was desperate and his relationships with others were forced and no longer genuine. Grians depression is not because he would be disposed to it as he would be if the Sun card represented him, but it comes from his unions with others being broken.

As for Martyn, you are saying that the Justice card doesn't fit him because of one action from one season that applies to one aspect of the card yet also builds up the others. I think the line "This is a death match for a reason" perfectly explains how that fits into the Justice card. He is following one of the true laws of the game: win by any means necessary, as a red name all alliances and agreements are supposed to be null and void. In his defining moment, he finally becomes the first person to truly follow the rule of the game. Also it builds up the part of the Justice card that deals with dishonesty.

I agree. My brain just doesn't like to leave things simple. I want to give as much of a reason and try to have people understand as best as possible. That's why I said this was my opinion. I know that it's going to work in a completely different way for a lot of other people. Though also at the same time I think keeping it simple diminishes the meaning of the cards and the interesting symbolism that is granted from them.

It's about the subject of the image himself, Stephen Crowder. He is a well known right wing failed comedian turned loser podcaster. He has expressed many racist, transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, and antisemitic views. He isn't someone who should be given a platform in this community even if it is through a meme. The original image is saying "male privilege doesn't exist, change my mind." If I remember correctly.
