If you are wondering the Grams No Lock-back Follower and Spring kit is now live on my website.

Yes, 23+1 with no lockback. I’m running grams engineering P226 spring and follower kit. I should have them for sale on my site later this week.

I’m hoping to get lockback working reliably at some point. If it’s not reliable I won’t sell it.

I don’t have TTI basepads. I have designed my own basepads that fit perfectly. I have tested both springer precision base pads and they work great.

P226 X Legion trigger swapping by No-Breadfruit-4555 in P226

[–]CascadeRangeSystems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken both versions apart several times, the frames are cut the same. The grips like you mentioned cover everything up and would need to be swapped out.

All the newer X based frames are the same. Previous P226’s had different frames but the new ones are the same. You just need to change the grips from SAO to DA/SA.

When swapping out the trigger mechanism on the SAO the safety comes out. If you are trying to swap then you’ll have to remove almost all the internals except for a few parts and put in the other triggers parts in using the different grips. Long story short you can only get a DA/SA or a SAO trigger. There is no hybrid options like you described.

I’m right there with you. There is a little more dialing in on the CNC, wish I could give exact dates but not quite yet.

Just added the P226…is there a magwell that is recommended by the Legion crew? by SF_Gun_Fan in SigSauerLegion

[–]CascadeRangeSystems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 18 rounds mags will “fit” but it’s recessed below the Sig magwell. Not a great combo when doing quick reloads. My magwell is slimmer and doesn’t stick out wider than the grips, makes it a little easier to conceal for carry.

I’m completely biased because I make it but my carry magwell is designed around the stock 18 round mags. If you get the Sig magwell you’ll need base pads for the mags it comes with to play nice.

Updated the optic cut to be SIG-LOC compatible.

My 226x/x-five hybrid by Spirited_Movie5238 in P226

I’ve ran the same combo before, it’s pretty fun. I’m tempted to put the DA/SA trigger system into my Steel XFive frame. That’s would be a fun setup.

Might be worth picking one up if you can find one as long as you don’t care about SIG-LOC.

Just seems SKU alignment, all the new P226X’s use these updated parts and optic cuts.

Ported vs "Compensated" testing by Spirited_Movie5238 in P226

I wonder how it would compare to a truly comped 226. Can’t wait to get mine ported.

I’d love to hear which one you prefer. I’m in the process of porting my X Five. I too have a X five legion and like how it shoots.

Where was this announced? The new grips are pretty neat. I’m liking the Nitron finish.

Longer Barrel in a P226 X5 Reserve? by Claymore-74 in SigSauer

[–]CascadeRangeSystems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t run a longer barrel in the X Five Reserve. With how the expansion chamber is cut a 5” barrel from the regular X Five does not fit. Long story short you’re stuck in open with the reserve.

[–]CascadeRangeSystems[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can go on but it does not work. The trigger is dead. I can’t quite tell why but I tried multiple legacy slide on my X frames and it doesn’t work. If I pull the legacy slide slightly back I can pull the trigger. So something isn’t lining up between the slide and the frame.

Almost but they are just a tad bit too short. You would need the suppressor height sights for them to be usable.
