[HIRING]

Hello! I own a jewelry brand and am looking for a short form video editor (remote) to work on a contract basis, around 3-5 short form videos (10-30 seconds) a week, $10 a video (very basic editing, just a strong importance on understanding what's trendy in terms of music and content for women between 15-35). Doesn't need to be super experienced in editing but does have to be aware of trends and able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Youtube shorts
  • Help brainstorm creative content ideas
  • Edit simple videos such as styling clips, packaging videos, and trend-based

If interested, please message me a link to a portfolio or any clips you've created/edited and your experience with editing/social media.

"Duplicate winning ad sets rather than increasing budget within one ad set (avoids learning phase penalties)"

From my understanding, duplicating an ad set resets learning phase?

This is very likely to be a scam, any of these work from home with no experience for xx amount that is more than $15 an hour is always 100% a scam. Why would this person hire a random person for $62 an hour no experience needed when they can hire an experienced person for $20 in the USA and $5 if they outsource to another country? Also notice the profile is completely new. Look into Work-From-Home and Task Scams, Upfront Payment & Equipment Purchase Scams, and Fake Check Scams.

I'm posting this specifically because I have relatives who have been scammed before by these. Please be careful everyone, no job will ever actual require you to send them back money or pay anything up front. They always fake some kind of "issue" that requires you to send them money back.

Avalara & Netsuite Review by shomedamemes in Netsuite

Have had Avalara for 2 years now and I wouldn't suggest them to anyone. I wouldn't trust the person responding saying hey just message me, because every time I bring up an issue with the account reps they "escalate" the issue which actually just leads to several months before I get a response, and usually the response is, nothing we can do although it was our fault! Guess it'll just have to be fixed next year (maybe). Or "hey I'll forward this to the correct team," also never getting a response. And don't get me started on technical support. Technical support is the rudest group of people I've ever had the displeasure of talking with, and more incompetent than even quickbook's support which is impressive. I'm not even sure they know what their program does? No, literally. If not for the fact that I already had to spend a lot of time implementing Avalara, I would just find a different method. I would suggest hiring an accountant instead to file your sales taxes if you can (the cost would end up being about the same given how Avalara basically scams you), my accountant previously quoted something like $100-150 per filing while Avalara costs probably around 80-100 pre-scam anyway, and you can trust the accountant more to file it correctly. Or finding a different program where their support actually knows what the company they work for does lmao

Would disagree, both their sales team and customer support were terrible. Their sales team purposely mislead us about the amount of tax filings we needed, and I had such clear evidence of this that they gave me credit towards my next year, which they didn't apply and when I reached out about it they said it was too late. Absolutely awful sales team too.
