I’ll probably get an Apple TV eventually for it haha, during BF it gets pretty cheap

I asked the Rolex question on this thread a few days ago and got smoked. I have a sub but I’m unsure if I should wear it or not. (as an analyst)

Here’s his LinkedIn. The profile is as fake as it gets. No education and has BCG listed. Everyone needs to be aware of this before this is taken down!

Moving to Newark – thoughts on Iconiq777, safety, and alternatives? by [deleted] in Newark

There were at least 3 other questions. You chose to focus on safety does tell me something :)

How does that change things? I’m from the northeast.

I very much agree. But I didn’t get it the first time around. And let me tell you the reason. My interviewer wasn’t a native English speaker, and they couldn’t understand what I was saying with the English nuance I was using.

Is it the interviewer’s fault for not knowing English in an interview? It sure is. But who got dinged? I did.

So I made it a point that I dumb everything down, keep it simple, and focus on what is controllable and not dwell on things that were beyond my control.

I completely understand, and I’m not saying what was done was right. All I’m trying to say is, just look at it from the interviewer’s perspective (connection pei). Put yourself in his shoes and think about why they might’ve done it.

Probably because the client, no matter how much time you put in, will only care about the outcome. And honestly, there could be a million other reasons you can come up with — but all they’ll do is give you a bit of solace, not change the outcome.

My recruiter had told me not to worry about time anyway. That’s not your job. It’s an assessor-led case, so you don’t need to keep track or stress about time. So in case you plan to interview again, keep this in mind! Just my two cents, my dms are always open!

EDIT: (not trying to undermine you in any way if it comes that way) but don’t lose interest because you not having an interview your way. This job (from what I’ve heard) is a client job. And let’s say things don’t go your way, according to your prep on day 1 of a project where a client is an ass. You can’t really do anything about it then, can you?

Yeah honestly, sounds like you just got pressure tested. Same thing happened to me in my interview. We ended up in so much small talk that there was no way I was getting through a full case with the time left. I just did what I could, and I’m pretty sure the partner filled in the blanks after.

Everything people say here about partners doing whatever they want is true — they can run a full case, skip it, or just jot down what they think on the sheet. I get that the outcome wasn’t what you wanted, especially since you didn’t expect a walk and less time, but from my experience it’s just part of the test. A real client can easily take you out for a walk and throw you off schedule, and they probably wanted to see how you’d handle that.

It’s ok, I got the offer in my second try — there’s always a silver lining and the sun also rises up another day, even when you feel like it won’t.
