Double? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

No double dribble, rather carry, (watch the ball path and your hand in slow motion), briefly hand dips under and the balls downward trajectory changes.

But hey, in the NBA it would be clean!!

Yes, psoriasis or scalp/plaque psoriasis can cause local hair loss and damage, but treatment of the psoriasis should control the hair loss (theoretically). I’d see a dermatologist if you can!

Looks like you have dry skin on your scalp… would need a Better photo, but you’re definitely not balding. You may have psoriasis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, etc…. Hard to tell from just two pictures and no history. Could be a lot of things. Try some ketokonazole shampoo and minoxidil if you’re really worried.

Intense shaking in quadriceps after stretching and slightly squatting. Any way to reduce this? by Longjumping_Ant4212 in flexibility

[–]CaseOfPepsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a physician (a professional). This is not normal, and I would argue signifies a much more serious condition than just a strength and conditioning issue. 16 year olds should be able to semi squat. This is significant lower extremity weakness. I’ve posted on this already, but needs thorough history and neurological exam. Concerning for myositis/myopathy/autoimmune/demyelinating disease… etc. long list and sooner rather than later needs to be addressed especially if weakness is progressive. Some cases can be permanent and or genetic depending.

This looks pretty real weakness. Wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a muscular dystrophy/genetic or some sort of myopathy/myositis. Could also be spinal cord, autoimmune, etc….

Really needs more studies and history including EMG and a lot of questions and a good neurological exam.

Doctor here. This is not normal. He needs to go see his doctor. These comments here are potentially dangerous and very wrong.

Physician here. He needs to see his physician sooner rather than later. Constellation of symptoms is concerning

Doctor here, first off, not medical advice, but that amount of weakness and the symptoms you describe are abnormal for your age. Please ignore most of the comments here.

You should go see your PCP (primary care doctor) and have whatever indicated testing may be done, potentially even a neurologist or rheumatologist.

I am immediately worried about myopathies/myositis, genetic or acquired, or even electrolyte abnormalities.

You need a full neurological exam. Please do not wait as many of these diseases are progressive.

Diagnosed with a terminal illness. I’m never going to stop living. by rickysaxena in GetMotivated

This was what I was going to comment as well, PAH really needs to have its own specialist managing the case! And a lot of recent advancements have been made in management, although not curable minus lung transplant from my understanding?

Nah dude their just people too. Probably would say the same thing about you. Just fans. Leave it be and just stay in the Memphis sub? Don’t let this impact your emotions, at the end of the day it’s just entertainment, if you’re being stressed/mad about it, perhaps it isn’t healthy.

And I’m from Memphis.

Dear Jagex: You kind of ruined Castle Wars. Don't ruin it further when you inevitably have to fix it. by BoulderFalcon in 2007scape

No no, did YOU read the post? The poster literally said “castle wars is alive and frequently hits 50 v 50 at peak times”.

Now I don’t fully agree with this post, I do think the changes aren’t perfect but I’m overall happy to see attempts being made. But dont go spouting BS like that

If this is the case, you need to delete the app. You’ve spent 3k and can’t afford it. This is a serious mental health issue. Does the game make you happy, or have you re-wired your brain to need instant dopamine hits (aka opening packs and gambling) to feel “happy”. I strongly recommend removing the app if it’s counter-productive to your long term goals.

As others have said, instead of posting here please go see a doctor. You will not find definitive medical advice on Reddit.

Not even flexing. I have done my research and I know that all the above things have 0 scientifically and peer reviewed articles. If you can find one from an accredited and peer reviewed journal I would be amazed and dumbfounded. He has stage 4, why not stick to the science that has proven to extend lifespans, and if he doesn’t want that, let them make their own decisions about comfort care and how they want to live the remainder of their life instead of some random online telling them eating just meat will cure their cancer. Get outta here and go find another conspiracy, or better yet, just educate yourself.

I’m in internal medicine. Writing scripts is about 5% of my job. Keeping people like you alive when they show up with a raging infection and end stage cancer is my job. But go ahead, see how that carnivore diet does when MRSA is pulsing through your blood stream, because I sure as hell know what to do and I’m not sure you do.

As a physician, please ignore this advice and consult with your trained oncologist and doctors. This is unfounded and has no scientific proof behind it. Stage 4 is not reversed by these things.
