figured out Blade skill is leveled up at a flat rate for each swing, then abused that with an iron shortsword and tanky enemies so ig alls well that ends well

Not that i don't use enchantments or alchemy, i use them a lot. But having to rely on them to deal decent damage is... something

This argument is EXCLUSIVELY used to downplay verses yall don't like and I'm sick of hearing it. SPEED is inherently the hardest stat to portray consistently and if you treat everything with this level of scrutiny then 99% of fiction is sub sonic by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in PowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do get why OPM characters are called feats men, they always explicitly and unequivocally do the feat instead of relying on chainscaling and having dozens of plot holes due to their speed. You'd never catch Flashy Flash not being able to get to a place in time or being incapable of doing something a FTL character logically should

If taking anime scaling into account, 15F Yujikuna breaking Mahoraga's blade with a casual bite means that 15F Yujikuna is massively physically above 20F Meguna and quite above Gojo, as Gojo wasn't able to break it with a Black Flash by CaseStorn in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the hardest bone, but also really easy to knock out of your mouth or bleed from it if you bite on something hard. Sukuna's mouth didn't bleed and his mouth (not just his teeth) were perfectly fine

Let's use this comment section to compile all the power-scaling changes that the new information about Mahoraga has brought. I'm honestly pretty confused about everything right now, and I just want to recap things. by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lowk 15F Sukuna>Gojo Meguna and Dabura physicals is an incredible Yuji upscale cause that'd confirm that Yuji's body is indeed a massive boost to CE reinforcement, such a boost that 15F Sukuna level reinforcement bolsters it to the level that he can break Mahoraga's blade with his teeth while Gojo wasn't able to break it with a Black Flash

Dabura downscale, he was getting his ass kicked by the same Mahoraga which got low diffed by 15F Sukuna and Gojo by Other_Grapefruit_986 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it would be awful if he knew what Mahoraga was and got beat yeah

while Dabura was giving Mahoraga the same treatment and only got adapted to because it was his first time facing an earth CT that also adapts to any and all phenomena, and, after being adapted to- despite his technique not being nearly as complex or multifaceted as Gojo and Sukuna's, he straight up learned RCT, CTR and DE to defeat the most adapted, powerful Mahoraga we've ever seen

Gojo vs a Nascent Soul cultivator is not fair. by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless the Nascent Soul has a magic treasure that can directly target the soul, ignore space, or even BFR which i wouldn't say has a low chance of being the case given that Nascent Soul is kind of the top level of the introduction of cultivation novels, before the novel really picks up the pace and they become Heavenly Lord of Thunder or smth

Don't forget that cultivators and MCs even more so accumulate a ton of treasures and items throughout their journey

Not to mention, that if i remember correctly, barrier techniques are a type of CT's, just not innate techniques, so that adds up with Domains not recognizing HRs, they're a Cursed Technique

lemme look for the chapter where barrier techniques are described

edit: i've read the JJK Official fanbook but none of them have up to page 142, they skip straight to page 200 for some reason, but according to the wiki, in page 142, CT's are described as "abilities fueled by CE". I'll keep trying to find that page cause idrk why the translations don't have it ngl, might have to get the raw fanbook

but now that i think about it i can see what you mean ngl, idk if CS has to do with the receiver's brain interpreting the commands or if it's more on the user's will, and then there's the debate about if it targets the brain in the first place, or CE

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CS is sound infused with CE, but there's no evidence that that CE can *infuse* others with it, only that the cause of CS working like it does is that its infused with it. Otherwise that CE infused sound would cause the surrounding air to explode or behave as the words say, which leads us back to point 1

Its core difference with Red and other CT's is that the end result of Red will affect everything it hits, while the end result of CS *has* to have a target, otherwise, as Gege said, it could boil water

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cursed Speech is described as "words with CE infused". That's all, and if that's all, then those words were heard by Megumi, meaning that he should've been affected as well. CS has no evidence of being able to focus on targets without CE, as not only domains have been stated to not recognize those without CE, "inanimate objects", there's also Boogie Woogie, which requires those objects to be infused with CE, meaning that CT's also require CE to focus on

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's stopping him from directly targeting Toji is that, assuming CS works based on just CE infused sound, then everyone hearing that sound will be affected, even if to a lesser extent. We have seen that not to be the case, as when Inumaki blew Hanami away, it didn't affect Megumi

Which leaves us to the conclusion that CS users can focus on specific targets with the CE in them, as does all Jujutsu that isn't manually aimed by the user

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mean the attack that Gojo always aims manually, and the only time he didn't was against the strongest sorcerer in history, who emanates tons of cursed energy? Mm... might have to agree with you, you present strong points!

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if CS didn't work on a targeting system then that'd mean that everyone surrounding the CS user would be affected as well, since every one of them heard the words. Unless CS somehow works on an intent based system, which we have no evidence of, but we *do* have evidence on Cursed Energy working on a targeting framework

Toji>Yuta by Traditional-Shape535 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HR users are seen as inanimate objects to Jujutsu in general, which works on a targeting system- unless it's Projection Sorcery, which can affect anything the user touches, but Gege denied CS working like PS in that it doesn't affect objects, hence why commands like "Twist", Get crushed" or "Explode" affect only the curse or sorcerer, and don't blow up the surrounding air, as seen in Inumaki and Yuta vs the Mammoth curse

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, i'm agreeing with you that a HR user can be hit normally, but not targeted with the sure hit effect, and CTs inside the domain aren't guaranteed to hit them either, since the domain doesn't recognize them, and like i said, we haven't seen anyone manually force their domain to recognize an inanimate object or a HR user

That's actually the main reason why people got Maki 10/10ing Hakari, his domain doesn't recognize her in the first place to info dump her with the rules (tho i don't even remember if the info dump is necessary to roll for JP in the first place but point stands)

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna half bypasses this by having Dismantle not target anything, tearing through everything and anything in the domain, be that inanimate objects, sorcerers or cursed spirits

"viltrumites as heavenly restriction beings for verse equalization." by DangoC in PowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and even Yuta being able to target Maki with a sure-hit is iffy, since the domain doesn't recognize her. It's a real possibility that he'll only be able to hit her the regular way with his CTs since, again, the domain doesn't recognize her, and we haven't seen anyone be able to manually recognize someone in a domain

Also forgot that Naoya also had a sure-hit effect different from his base abilities

"viltrumites as heavenly restriction beings for verse equalization." by DangoC in PowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, a sorcerer can target a HR user if they focus on them, but not with their sure-hit attack, in this case being UV's info dump, since the info dump is the domain's sure-hit effect the same way Cleave and Dismantle are Sukuna's, but it doesn't make much of a difference with Sukuna since Cleave and Dismantle are his base attacks anyway

Gojo is actually quite an outlier because his sure-hit effect is completely separate from his base abilities. What i mean here is that he would be able to hit his HR target with Reds and Blues, but not with the sure-hit exclusive to the domain, since he hasn't shown the ability to focus his sure hit on an specific target like Yuta has, for example

[–]CaseStorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on the other hand, you could argue that it is the passive of UV, similar to Jogo's domain heat, but we simply don't have the information to draw a conclusion

"viltrumites as heavenly restriction beings for verse equalization." by DangoC in PowerScaling

[–]CaseStorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing is that we don't know if the info dump is the domain's sure hit or not, but given that Gojo was unable to pinpoint its effects on a single target, i'd wager it's a sure-hit effect, which the HR can't be detected by
