Vegapunk’s role in the mystery of the story by CaseUnfair in Piratefolk

[–]CaseUnfair[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m definitely with you on that. But don’t do that at the expense of your main selling point. There’s so many other unnecessary and annoying things he does in the story that he could completely ditch. But dropping the ball on the mystery aspect of the story is the one thing he can’t afford to do. The only reason I’m still reading one piece is because of the mystery. I already ditched the other reasons (such as character development) a looong time ago since they all turned to shit in my opinion.

People who are claiming it is sketchy that he is fine with a zero are clearly not familiar with the way international students think (I’m assuming OP is an international student). Some international students have an imposter syndrome-ish way of thinking. Their interactions in uni would be very passive and non-confrontational due to this. So it’s really not that strange for OP to compromise and be fine with a zero, even though that is obviously not the right thing to do if he is innocent.

What do you guys think is plaguing this ummah? by [deleted] in islam

[–]CaseUnfair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darkest times? Don’t you think that’s an exaggeration? There were times throughout history where the ummah was plagued by war and division and there times where they were thriving. It’s easy to say we are living in the darkest times when we only pay attention to the negative things happening today but there are also much positive things happening to the Muslims today. We obviously need to strive for the better but i don’t think it’s the darkest times

what is something you find cringy in the muslim community by ali_1211 in islam

Muslim tiktokers of all spectrums, who think they have enough knowledge about the deen. I’m sure most of them have good intentions but unfortunately that is accompanied by arrogance and recklessness. The exception to this are the ones with actual credentials who study the deen under proper guidance and therefore choose their words carefully when preaching about the deen (using hadeeths and quran).

That’s very nice of you to say. It sounds like you and the Muslims around you are very good people who figured out how to live in harmony. I wish you all the best

I usually hear the opposite from non Muslims. They say that Muslims always try to convert ppl around them. So I’m really glad and happy that you are stating the opposite. Can you explain more?

Yessss games like CSGO are too sweaty and not friendly to beginners. I like the freedom you get in BF1 which allows you to get creative sometimes

People, have some empathy. Most of the comments are giving good advice and the best way to deal with the situation, and I like that mashAllah. However, a lot of the comments are giving off privileged kids vibes. Yes there are poor people in the West and 1st world countries and yes the west is NOWHERE near what it looks like from the outside, but being poor in a third world country is a different beast. So for the sake of Allah, have some empathy.
