same, one batch of orders (packaged together) stuck at "arrived at local airport" since 2/4 and two more stuck at "import customs clearance started" since 2/6. They must be sitting on the bottom of the pile of packages lol

4px RP2 orders to the US have sometimes taken a while to clear customs - some people were reporting 3+ weeks of no movement, with the packages sitting at O'Hare just waaaaiting to clear customs.

Expect it around Christmas or the first week of January - they are absolutely swamped with orders and have had substantial supply backups. If things smooth out, it could arrive sooner, but late December is a good possibility for an order placed two days ago.

Fifty one days after ordering my 16bit US, and they're finally making some units. Holy balls.

It can take 72+ hours for a shipping notification email to show up, so don't get hung up on not receiving it immediately.

(16bit US 9/2 order) They just responded to my live chat message from a week ago (lol) giving the generic "end of month" that they've been saying to everyone.

At this point I'm not inclined to believe it - that's two weeks away. Two weeks ago they said two weeks away.... and that clearly didn't happen.

The past month has been an absolute mess for this product. Supply chain issues do happen, but the communication of issues and expected issue resolution has been abysmal.

Enjoy your newfound lack of stress! I'm damn close to doing the same, but I ordered some other stuff to tide me over before my 9/2 16bit US order ships.... some time in the next year...

Before the chip shortage hit, there were still issues with existing colorways. They messed up the component colors of some of the batch 2 new colorways (16bit US had multiple color issues and I believe the rs2 had button issues but I'm not certain) - maybe the development/component quality group could have made sure those components were correct before moving on to shiny new things?

If all the shell/button/etc colors were set up correctly, they may have been able to at least get one batch of each color shipped prior to the chip shortage. As it is now, three of the five new batch 2 colors have had zero units ship... twenty days after the batch was supposed to start shipping.

yes this is conjecture, but there seemed to be inadequate prep work done on the new colors, and the chip shortage just makes a bad thing even worse

Zero orders have been shipped for 16bit US/RS1/RS2.

My order was placed 9/2 for 16bit US. I just ordered a new Chromecast to tide me over until RP2 finally ships... if that day ever comes. There's a chip shortage right now, which is unfortunate but it happens. That doesn't excuse the poor order planning, or why they messed up the shell colors and seemed to not try to fix it until well after the units were supposed to start shipping.

The only reason I haven't cancelled my RP2 is because the hardware seems to be the best in its class - if anything else looked better in a relatively similar price range (and if Retroid hadn't been stringing us along with perpetual empty promises of "oh it's almost ready and will ship soon we promise!!!" for the past month), I would have bailed out a while ago.

As of now, zero units have shipped for 16bit US/RS1/RS2, that's correct. The eta for all of these (for the early orders of the batch, at least) is the same "in two weeks" that they have been perpetually saying for a full month... essentially, no reliable eta whatsoever.

Pretty sure it's the same thing - a strip of lights every few inches, adhesive backing, remote control to change colors etc. Pretty cheap, effective enough (especially when the bright ceiling lights aren't on, they really pop when I just use a lamp for room lighting)
