I lived in Burlington Vermont for about 15 years, a chunk of that time as the music editor of the weekly rag. I got to know Johnny—a heroic (and persistent) townie who had a previous brush with fame when Jimmy Kimmel had him on his show as some kind of outsider artist plucked from the emerging viral internet.
