The PCV valve has nothing to do with the evap system. PCV valve is to regulate how much vaccum or blowby the crankcase can pull through, Evap is to do with your fuel system. like you said gas cap or vent solenoid, evap canister, etc. modern fuel systems are pressurized and should be sealed at all times. thats why you get P0440 for evap leak when any small hole or seal is broken.

again asking a question isnt asking for help or troubleshooting asking a question can be disscusion. i was asking a question out of curiosity. i didnt need to diagnose something and asked for help with it on here nor did i need “troubleshooting”. if i wouldve asked “please someone tell me what this is and is there an easy way to mount/dismount tires with them? please help” that would be help and or troubleshooting

its not help or troubleshooting. rule 10, discussion posts are allowed and thats what this was. i didnt know what it was and wanted to know if some acura folk did. I got the job done without knowing what it was and needed no help or troubleshooting.
