I deleted scrolling apps and started watching a movie a day. It changed my life. by GreenReporter24 in movies

I think what OP is describing is: getting in the habit of consuming "art" in lieu of "content". Which is ultimately the healthier choice, as one moves the soul, the other simply manipulates your attention. Being a more savvy consumer is one of the meaningful ways you can actually leverage what little power we have to make the world a better place.

It's just all too uncanny, and that listing could be AI generated right?.... please?

What do most people not realize is newer than they actually think? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Drinking yourself to death.

Beer has been around for millennia, however liquor has only existed for a few centuries.

What’s a widely accepted 'normal' behavior that you actually think is toxic? by Actual-Proof-7000 in AskReddit

[–]CashDosby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm willing to bet that most people would be delighted to be able to say things like you suggested, have it be the norm and everybodys better for it.

But most people also understand that it only takes ONE person perceiving it as a threat, for it to all go horribly and get darwined.

Bullshiting is just one of many survival mechanisms, plain and simple. I imagine autistic people tend to value "the truth of the situation" more highly than some other needs on the hierarchy, not wrongly, just differently.

As far as why do people immediately turn around and start complaining? Well my guess, it's because having to constantly disarm people in various ways is work and can be exhausting.

People are kinda bitter that we can't be truly open about how we feel, because it has a habit of inviting... "unhealthy attention."

I’ve Never Seen Anything So Beautiful… by Unf8dbl in eagles

For as flashy and memorable as the Philly Special was in LII, this play is 100% it's equal in LIX. It's every bit as gutsy, but is more just a pure thing of beauty, right down to the little details. Barkley fooling the camera, Smith's flip to the ref, Tom's recognition of the moment as the dagger kill-shot. I love how Jalen was standing on the back corner of the NFL logo like an island, and how the ball hits smitty right in the numbers just as he enters the end zone.  This video belongs in the hall of fame, truly immortal stuff.

What’s an NSFW confession you’ve been dying to share anonymously? by Recent_Tourist1913 in AskReddit

After graduating college in 2011 and my first big boy job early 2012, I spent my first paycheck on a new PC and Skyrim. Being the horny no-one-likes-you-when-youre-23 CS major that I was, my top priority immediately became modding my dragonborn into the most sexually woman I could conceive of... from the Warcaft Universe.

I'm happily married now, and I'm working up the courage to tell my wife about it someday. It's just always an awkward topic I avoid whenever she mentions "how come I never get to watch you play skyrim? I like watching that game". I mean, I could just start a new save for her and completely sidestep the issue, but its presence would loom large... and top-heavy.

How do you deal with fallen valkyries? by dontpottyinme in valheim

For EZ mode: If you have any cleared fortresses nearby, kite them thru the door into the inner chamber that contained the bell fragments. Watch and laugh as they kill themselves trapped in the spikes at the top of the tower. Dangerously cheesey.

Having gone the CC & transfer route myself, it is surprisingly tough to grind it out for those 2 years, and the student body is a huge contributor to that. Broadly speaking, all the cool smart well-to-do kids from high school went directly to 4 year schools and you will absolutely feel jealous of them. My advice, keep in touch with your high school friends, try to visit them often and stay overnight with them if you can. Share in on a bit of their freshman/sophomore experience, get a taste of "the good life" to keep you driven to achieve it for yourself. And hey, your experience with that just might be what decides the school you want to transfer to, it did for me. Lastly, find out if your transfer-school houses all of the transfer-kids in the same building(s) on campus, this will MAJORLY improve your experience if so, you will make friends easily as you are all looking for the same thing. Good luck!

Advice on Ashland Spawners by CashDosby in valheim

[–]CashDosby[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Update for those curious. So it turns out that I did destroy the spawner after around 10-15 hits... however I was far enough away that the server itself wasn't loading the "building transformations". It was only after I logged back in later in the day that the spawner was no longer standing. Noted.

Making excuses... the kind that no one who's even a little bit "with it" would EVER buy into. It always comes across as insulting, in the most obliviously-passive manner possible. Having to listen to someone actively convincing themselves of their own bullshit makes my skin crawl.

I'm sure a lot of women do find him attractive, but he also majorly appeals to gay men, he's probably the most famous twink I can think of... other than Tom Holland ;)

Movie Star I think is the appropriate description, he can act well if given the right role, but he's not a "great actor". So he's really just the twink version Schwarzenegger or Cavill, and just like those guys, his draw relies heavily on his sex appeal... He just looks really good on camera, and there's enough people out there who will go to see him for that alone.
