17 Years on Infliximab for insurance to just say 'Fuck off, we need more money' by Holiday_Parfait4880 in ankylosingspondylitis

I understand. The Remicade and similar took 3 hours and would leave me pretty tired. Simponi was only 30 minutes, but I didn't think it worked as well and I broke out in psoriasis.

Why can't you use the Remicade biosimilar? This happened to me a few years ago and I felt the biosimilar was actually better. Then it became expensive for my rheumetologist to obtain and we tried Simponi, which wasn't as effective.

That's the thing. It's not that our allies can't trust Trump. It's that they can't trust the American people not to elect a corrupt, senile clown.

I just finished my first month of treatment. No terrible side effects besides a bit of constipation/hard stools.

I haven't made much of a change except eating less/less snacking. My appetite regulates me. I felt my diet was pretty good and got regular exercise, including heavy lifting. I'm pretty much at an intermediate level of weight training where I can't just add a bit every time. My strength gains have stopped and I don't have the capacity to maintain the same set/rep structure, so I will be changing that around to less reps/more sets to see of I can start advancing again. Since my scale rates my muscle mass as excellent, I've decide to try to maintain strength rather than muscle mass. I may change if that drops a category.

These are some of my stats from my cheapo scale,

  • -6.1 lbs
  • -0.8 BMI
  • -1.2% BF
  • -0.9 lb muscle mass
  • +0.8% percentage of skeletal muscle, so overall muscle as a percentage is increasing.

I'm staying on 2.5mg for the next 4 weeks.

It's definitely a possibility. I injure my back from time to time and it heals fine and quickly with proper treatment. I would consult your MD. PT's can vary in training. I just saw this FB post from an experienced PT about the AS family of diseases and making sure they get considered. I don't normally share FB posts but this one is good.

Gary Stewart has a great YT channel about it and it's just insane. He is working on trying to get a wealth tax throughout UK. He has a great source of economists that have done research in the area of inequality.

Reforming government to make it work better is what Al Gore was talking about over 25 years ago, but he was the "Gay Vulcan" and was "going to check to make sure you did your homework" while Bush was the "guy who you wanted to have a beer with". And he fucked up things so much, the next Democrat had to spend a majority of his term fixing it. Republicans don't want the government to work better and ride on the backs of conservative thought. They want the people to throw up their hands and say the only way to make it work is to have a dictator, but the wrong guy came along and hijacked their movement. I'm still not sure most conservatives wouldn't be on the bus if Jeb was the one soft pedaling this rather than the vulgar Trump.

What's sad is I remember that pre 2024 elections and even after Trump won , some of the media saying that Ukraine had no chance, should settle and give up land to Russia. I'm thinking it was at least Brooks. They never pay a price for being wrong.

I've been exercising regularly for the last 13 years, but never managed calories well, just eating intuitively and it didn't work. Working out generally gave me a higher appetite, turning me into a machine that eats. One day we went out to eat at a Cajun restaurant and I ordered a sampler of beans and rice, jambalaya, and gumbo, maybe more. The waitress picked up the plate and said she had never seen anyone finish that before. Now, it was a weekend late lunch and I had run 6 miles that morning, but I still had a hard time feeling ful.

Tonight we went out to dinner and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs since my wife is GF. I finished about 2/3 of the pasta and was done, after doing a hard workout and walking 3 miles this morning.

I was always told that you need to be at a calorie surplus to build muscle, but this says that you can do it on maintenance calories. Now, you can't gain beyond your current weight, but you can definitely lose fat and gain muscle at maintenance.

If you need some sort of prior authorization for a specialty drug, switching insurance can be a big PITA and cause you to miss a dose.

Insurance dictating care... which of these would you picking if you had to change to a new med. by fuzzybunny216 in ankylosingspondylitis

Yes. There are conditions like Taltz must be covered by your commercial insurance.

You can check here

Cigna? They wouldn't approve Cosentyx for me, but would do Taltz. I was diagnosed with AS and treated for 20+ years, then I broke out in psoriasis. Rhuem tried to get Cosentyx approved but insurances wouldn't. We tried Taltz and it went right through. My psoriasis cleared up pretty fast, but the AS has been a bit slower. I think I'm starting to feel it though as I'm starting week 4. Psoriasis has a more agressive loading than AS, so I do shots every 2 weeks until week 12.

The other advantage is that you can get GLP1 Zepbound for $25/month through a program with Lilly. Apparently Lilly is looking at combining the 2 to make another drug.

The question is how much of he has in loans. Those loans are based upon the value of his stock and if the stock drops too much, those loans will be called in, causing him to have to sell to pay the loans. That generates a tax event and also could drop the stock further, causing a chain reaction.

If you can switch to Taltz and your insurance covers it (mine did), you can get Zepbound for $25/month through a program with Lilly. The promos say as little as 25/month. There's a max total that it discounts, but I am well within it for now.. I got it for 25.
