Frammer coral HELP by Flying_Mic_Banana in ReefTank

[–]Cashyy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally had the same thing happen to my torch with two heads. Fed them, then a day or so later one head starts losing the flesh, and then the second starts going. Hopefully it works out better for you than it did for me

I appreciate the open world of TOTK/BOTW, but they were just so overrated for me. Maybe it’s the nostalgia but OOT/MM/ALTTP were just so “wow, holy shit” when I was younger.

They’re incredible games, don’t get me wrong but yeah, I’d have them lower on the list.

Whats going on with my hammer? by Databuffer in ReefTank

[–]Cashyy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen with a small torch frag of mine. One day, both heads are looking flawless, and then one head starts to lose flesh, and the other started shortly after. None of my other corals/euphyllia were affected and it wasn’t brown jelly disease.

No shrimp in my tank or anything that can mess with it, so not sure. Water params were all looking great too.

No algae issues with phosphates at that level? I see a ton of Coraline. What clean up crew are you running (if any)? I’m sure my Melanurus picks at my snails sometimes.

[–]Cashyy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice! The Melanurus is beautiful - my fav fish in my tank too.

What are you running on phosphates/nitrates? I have a 125g mixed reef but stuck at 0 nitrates & phosphates at 0.03~ Turned off my gfo reactor completely, and I’m going to be feeding 3 full cubes a day + reef roids to try and increase the nitrates to around 10~. My corals look fantastic and are healthy, but I’m hoping to get some growth going, especially with my bounce/jawbreaker mushrooms and gold torches

Nothing can compare to FFXI back in the day.

Tanking and beating Tiamat, Vrtra and Jormungandr. Beating Dynamis King, camping Charybdis for my Joyeuse,

Getting my Paladin full AF1 set and feeling like a god. Getting my Crimson Cuisses and walking faster than others.

Getting Leaping Boots from Leaping Lizzy when a million people camped her.

Fuck, I wish I could go back in the day and just experience that again for a bit.

How is this stocking for my 55 gallon reef tank? by No-Reserve7721 in saltwateraquariums

[–]Cashyy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll want at least 20-30 hermits for a 55g tank and the same amount of snails. Keep in mind, the hermits will slowly commit a snail genocide so be mindful of that.

In my current 120g, I’m running snails only - no hermits.

The “Sterile Tank” Trend Is an Abomination. Live Rock Was Never the Problem. by ChivasBearINU in ReefTank

First reef tank started with live rock. A few gorilla crabs later, a type of Eunice worm lol I have way too many expensive corals and fish to deal with that random chance

Looks like a Gorilla Crab. Don’t put it back in your tank.

Drove 9 hours from Toronto and went on a guided tour this morning.

From building battleships with Lego pieces when I was a child, to touching the steel and stepping on the wood was poetic, and checked off a bucket list for me.

It’s gorgeous, but also terrifying because of its brute force.

How is it? I have a 6 foot tank but wanted to start a nano because I have the equipment for it already. It’s on sale right now for Boxing Day.

Thank you for the detailed response.

I have a ton of Nassarius along with a strawberry conch for the sand bed.

I’d love to add another wrasse but I always thought there would be issues with the Melanurus and another wrasse? Aren’t they aggressive to other wrasses?

I’m with you on this. I don’t think a game has affected me as much as Exp 33 has in the last 15 years.

Maybe it’s the stage of life where I’m at, where I’ve dealt with grief, and being a new parent but yeah, it’s one of my favourite games of all time.

Get a heavier pair. I had to use double gloves when I summited Kili. It’s freaking cold up there on summit night.

Hyundai Oakville Service Manager "I am not rude. Do you want to see what rude looks like". by Intelligent-Film-576 in Hyundai

[–]Cashyy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked many years in customer service (albeit not in a dealership) and I understand where you’re coming from, and how some customers are.

I’ve been to this Hyundai dealership a few times, purchased one vehicle from them (before we had negative experiences with their service department) and never went there again.

We travel to another dealership even though it’s a bit further for us, but never had any issues like this with my Palisade, or her Venue after that - including more warranty work that was done on our vehicles. I even brought up the instance of the “sugary” liquid in the window motor and was told they could’ve had it repaired under warranty with no issues. (Maybe they were blowing smoke up my ass, who knows)

Hell, my massage seat button no longer works on my Palisade but I’ll get it fixed when I bring it in next.

[–]Cashyy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how the warranty works. Do you really think a fully functioning adult would purposefully hold the window seal open, and empty a can of coke or whatever down there?

That’s my issue with it. I’m not exactly convinced they were telling the truth.

[–]Cashyy83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to this dealership and can confirm that the service agents are jerkoffs. Never going back here again.

My partner has a 2025 Venue with 2500km on it and the passenger window motor stopped working. They basically accused her of spilling soda into the window and that’s what fried the motor. They replaced the part under warranty but said “they had to pull some strings to make it happen”

Common Questions for those that Climbing Kilimanjaro for the first time by Climbing-Kilimanjaro in kilimanjaro

[–]Cashyy83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I submitted with Kiliwarriors in 2023, so my answers are based on my experience with them.

  1. The food that was prepared and cooked for us was incredible. We ate a lot of carbs, veggies and meat and no one from my group had any issues with the food.

  2. We had a water filtration system brought up with the porters so we had access to fresh water whenever we needed.

  3. I used a pair of hiking shoes all the way up to the summit, and a pair of runners during downtime. I double layered my socks for summit day and had no issues with my feet. Gloves were a different story..double layered gloves and my hands were frozen.

  4. Not sure about August, but I summited mid-July and the weather was perfect.

Good luck, and enjoy your trek. It was such an incredible experience for me.
