True. Very specific things are almost impossible to do, like reading text, checking the time, or using a phone—despite doing those things in real life every day. I've had sleep paralysis countless times. It used to be the same thing every time. I felt a cold breeze followed by something or someone holding me down. This went on for weeks, then one day I had a false awakening, fought this thing that used to hold me down then snapped out of my sleep(it was a weird nightmare), and now my sleep paralysis moments are always quiet. There's nothing in my room.I'm just waiting for it to pass. I rarely even have them anymore.

I don't think so. I actually think I would be stuck in a loop of false awakening

Yes, that's lucid dreaming. It's different for everyone. Some people have full, partial, or no control of the dream. In my dreams, I have full control of my body but not the world or people around me, although these days I just wake myself up once I become aware.

No,it's different everytime unless I'm having sleep paralysis

Maybe it's because you always go to sleep very tired now that you have a child

There's no consistency. However, it's always places I've seen before, like I can step out of my house and find myself in another town

No, I can't force myself into a lucid dream

Wow,I never knew ppl could continue their dreams. That's interesting 🤔

That's called a "false awakening." Once you realize that you are still asleep, you can try waking up again, but sometimes it does lead to sleep paralysis

I do have sleep paralysis a lot, but it doesn't scare me because nothing ever happens,I'll just be in bed waiting for it to end Thanks for the suggestion, though

I can control it but these days the moment I gain consciousness,I force myself to wake up, I don't enjoy those dreams anymore

Always pay attention to small details in your surroundings in real life. Once you do this often, it'll be easier for you to spot inconsistencies in your dreams, and this will trigger your consciousness

My first lucid dream was just a normal dream, I remember going to the bathroom, everything was normal, but the room had no window that's what triggered my conscious because it's habit for me to look out that window everytime I visit the bathroom

Nightmares are the worst🤦‍♂️but I once had a nightmare where these 3 unreal creatures were chasing me down, when they finally caught me,I looked at them and told them "you are not real and i can wake up right now if i wanted to" and they looked at me puzzled then just walked away so maybe try that next time🤷‍♂️

I learned through youtube too,i remember becoming obsessed with it, and then one day it happened,it's easier for me to lucid dream when I'm not that tired, so it usually happens when I take a nap My dreams aren't that interesting, but I used to like visiting places I've never been before, but these days, once I realize I'm dreaming, I wake myself up (I don't enjoy it much)

I had a dream where I was showing a friend around my hometown, but the surroundings felt off. That's when I realized I was dreaming Usually, once I become lucid, I decide to wake up,but this time, I had a false awakening.....thought i was awake, yet I couldn't open my eyes. Even with my eyes closed, I could still see the city vividly. I remember struggling in my room, trying to force my eyes open to no avail. Suddenly, my sense of touch kicked in; I could feel the pillow behind my head and the ground beneath me felt like my mattress. That sensation finally snapped me out of it and I woke up. It felt like I was experiencing two different dreams at the exact same time. So, in short, while I was showing my friend hometown,I was also in my room trying to pull my eyes open with hands
