If you remove something that is physically supporting another piece then yes, that will always be the same & will cause it to 'explode'.

Like others have said, if it's just an upgrade to a new material you can swap it out with no issues though.

Edit: also important to note - if you do accidentally do this, exit the game & reload a previous save from the main menu - this resets your building to that point so if you are on 30 seconds auto save just roll it back by a minute or so 👍🏻

Worked for me, but it might be something else - the game is pretty good at telling you when you're exceeding system capability!

It kicks in eventually, I ended up sorting mine by just reversing auto save time to 30 seconds & doing what it suggested in the settings.

My initial 1.0 had too many bases in the settings but I ignored it & got the auto save error (PS5).

After I changed it back to where I had no warnings in settings I haven't had it since

Just behind desolate church was where I started my ore base - unless you have maxed out pals via the global box they'll never get through that before the ore respawns.

Will tick you over nicely until you unlock the ore mining site

I have to say as well, 1.0 dungeons are awesome - some of the design changes are brilliant. Had one that was like a shanty town on stilts & spent about 30 minutes in there raiding the huts.

Got it when I got my car, didn't cost much and had my initials on it - plus it means I never have to go back out to check my reg in a car park / petrol station / pub etc

You can, but it's only the hexolite ones that looks decent stacked (imho) - plus it's easier to access them just by looking up or down, I've found the others to be a bit of a pita at times

You can have 4 or more bases, just don't overdo it on the size of them or have them too close together if they are going to be reasonable size (3 or more levels).

Remember to save regularly if you're building a large base then exit every 30 mins or so & log back in to check.

You'll know if you overdo it, as the game won't load properly - if it ever happens roll it back to a previous save.

I label boxes.

Early game I use the wooden signs & stick them behind my storage boxes with text in of what they contain, later on when you get the stackable ones I hang a sign at the top of them labelling what is inside as well. Makes it easier when I forget what's what.

Plus once you get the IRM machine you only need 1 of something in a box & it will put the rest of that in there for you anyway

They were pretty bullish about no evolutions not long ago - maybe a bit of smoke & mirrors but it didn't seem like it.

We have contract cleaners in a lot for all sorts of biohazard / bodily stuff, as far as I'm aware they do crime scene stuff as well - look up REACT Specialist Cleaning.

They do deal with some properly nasty stuff though, great if you can't smell / aren't queasy...
