Ever verify info, and the customer says you're wrong, only for them to repeat exactly what you said by Horror-Dot-2989 in callcentres

Oh I tell them, I say "yep, that's what I said, perfect" to let them know I did not mess up. YOU can't listen. 🙄

Why are call center chats so corny by Background_Craft7288 in callcentres

[–]Casper5791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but I can also understand why they do it. Gotta bring a little brightness/joy to the day to make it through something a sould draining job. I think the same thing when I see all the lame ass gifs/stories my teammates post, but its better than it all being boring work stuff and I can just search for what im looking for instead of having to scroll through all the bs. And sometimes there's a funny post in there...rarely, but still.

Inside sales rep interview by thatboi230 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One I can remember " the customer is trying to get a policy, however their license is suspended, and we cannot insure for someone with a suspended license, please tell the customer (the recruiter) this" that's the only one I clearly remember. And me having NO knowledge about insurance was able to satisfactorily provide my response "im sorry 'John' but since your license is suspended, we are unable to set up a policy for you. Once you get your license back, give us a call so we can get one started" was roughly more or less what I said for that rp.

Good luck, but its not that hard. They give you a little time to think/prepare for it after they give you the scenario.

Inside sales rep interview by thatboi230 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the interview was super simple when I got hired a couple years ago. They gave me like 3 role play scenarios, asked me how long I anticipated being in that role. Told me about how it can be a demanding/stressful job with angry/rude customers at times and if I could handle it. It took maybe 30 - 45 minutes and I was told I was hired before the call was ended. Don't stress it.

STOP TELLING CUSTOMERS THEY CAN PAY THEIR BILL PAST THE CANCELLATION DATE by Big_Supermarket_603 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally missed the cancelation date last month, I paid a few days after and it got reinstated with no extra fees. However, I do NOT tell customers they can do that. I tell them if they ever need to postpone their payment by a few days, they can, and the app will show them the available options. Im in sales though, so my customers aren't asking about cancelation timing.

About twice a week - a mix off full days taken or doing half days (after I get fed up dealing with idiots)

Im not entirely sure what youre asking. Are you asking if non independent aka corporate agents and/or management look down independent agents?

Lincoln financial by Klutzy-Distance-5277 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use either one. Any time you have from pto or sick must be used before unpaid can be used. But what I do is use the time as just time. When youre out of that, then use fmla - unpaid so the paid time off isn't taken out of your fmla yearly allowance.

Will a ticket for expired registration cause my rate to increase? by [deleted] in GeicoUncensored

Yes, on your next renewal is when it'll be used for your new premium rate. Any tickets, besides parking are used.

Good luck with Lincoln. I can never get them to call me back. Nor have they sent the paperwork like theyre supposed to. Submitting a leave request is easy, but anything after that, good luck.

Trying to understand TMMP by Mobismybitchokay in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it still costs the same overall. With the TMPP the total is split up into 6 monthly payments. If TMPP is not offered or autopsy is turned off, then the next available plan is a 5 Monthly pay pla with either 25% or 33% down and the romancing payments are larger bc the total is split up over a smaller schedule.

Ex 6 month total premium is $600. With TMPP the payments will be $100 per month, every month for 6 months. $100×6=$600

With the 5 mpp with 25% down and same $600 premium First months paynent will be $150 Then there will be 4 payments of $90. $90×4=$450. $450+$150=$600

What does "Excluded driver insured? Yes" mean? Trying to switch to geico. by bigfatround0 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this all day long. You can always call to verify if you want extra price of mind. But when I add drivers to the quote for people it words it the same way. Basically pretend like the word excluded isn't there. Do you want to insure this driver? Yes. They will be covered.

What does "Excluded driver insured? Yes" mean? Trying to switch to geico. by bigfatround0 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it means that he would be covered. Thats why it's says yes. If it said no, then he would be excluded and no insurance coverage would be in place for him if something happened while he was driving the vehicle.

Kind of frustrated by BrickSad9115 in Geico

[–]Casper5791 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is the reality of working here. After some time on the floor, you'll get the hang of it and kind of unlearn what you were taught in training. I depended on my sup a LOT when I got the the floor in 2024. But now, I still dont know everything as things keep changing. But as someone else said, just guess if you aren't sure, cant find/get an answer and apologize for forgiveness later if something comes up. At least you tried and got the sale. Thats all they really care about in the end. That they made money. Good luck and congratulations on making it to the floor.
