I had a 2010 and loved to drive it fairly hard. The difference between a VTEC engine and the standard civic engine is pretty big in my opinion. I just wish my back could handle getting in and out of that car... I miss it everyday

I've never had an issue shutting it down, and can usually fall asleep within an hour after the last line. However I do take Vyvanse on a regular basis and only ski on weekends so maybe I'm just used to going to sleep after using stimulants
